Ok, can anybody help me out here? Every time I try to load my Wii Menu it freezes about 2 seconds after loading, producing an annoying *buuuuzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz*

Here's a nice little syscheck that should help you out. I should note the only thing not mentioned is my priiloader version is 0.6 if that matters. I think there is a version 0.7 but I think I read somewhere it wasn't a necessary or worthwhile upgrade.

Have you tried just re-installing your system menu again?

No but I easily can. However just to make sure I do it right, do I just download SM 4.2U from ModMii or is there a specific ios I need to download and install?

Tried installing SNEEK+DI and Dios Mios Lite via ModMii, but it showed the Priiloader menu and I could not boot Homebrew Channel, System Menu, or anything. I reinstalled HackMii and now everything works fine, but I am pretty sure I am doing this wrong otherwise I wouldn't be getting these issues. I believe I have the necessary .wad files, but I need some help with the installation order. Which order do I install the MIOS, cMIOS, BC, SNEEK+DI, and Dios Mios Lite? Or is that the correct order? Any idea what I did wrong with my previous attempt to install SNEEK+DI and DML?

Read the fine print when you told ModMii to install priiloader to your emulated nand. As soon as you access priiloader u have 10 seconds before it becomes unresponsive. Also, u should be able to boot directly to the SM without holding reset to access priiloader first... did that work for you? Last question, are u running a 64bit version of Windows?

I decided to do a more thorough formatting this time. Thankfully, I saved a working configuration to my D drive. And yes, I am running Windows 7 64-bit.

As long as you used ModMii or Softmod ANY Wii, you should be fine with your setup. If you want to keep track of updates and new apps, I suggest you subscribe to the feed on this site:

Sometimes it's a few days behind on news, but it still covers just about everything.
Thanks for the help and info! I didn't use either of those topics so how do I know if my stuff is up to date? And what is the point in keeping it updated? (sorry, kinda new to all this and lost in all the information I'm finding

I suggest you do a full softmod with ModMii. It's updated and has a very good setup, so you shouldn't have a problem after that. There is a link in my signature.

Alrighty guys, here we go.
Ive modded PSPs and stuff, what exactly can I gain from modding my Wii, and what are the risks involved? What do I gain from doing this? Will this mess up my Nintendo club status and what not? What are all these programs I see everyone talking about? I guess thats a good start?

I want to reinstall everything (including Letterbomb) but the message will not appear in my Messageboard. I typed the correct region and MAC address and everything. How do I make it appear?

EDIT: I fear I am completely bricked. The Wii won't load with the SD card in and Homebrew Channel won't show anything. Need help badly as I don't want to have to get another Wii.

make sure u have the right files\folders on the SD card (ie. SD:\apps\whatever\boot.dol), make sure the sd card is formatted properly (FAT or FAT32), ou can try an SD card instead of an SDHC card (if applicable), also u can try a FAT32 formatted HDD with the same folder structure as the SD card (ie. SD:\apps\whatever\boot.dol). You could also try using "transmit mii" on your computer to send an app (ie. boot.dol) to the homebrew channel (does not require an sd card, but does require a network connection).

edit: to see the letterbomb message, navigate to "yesterday's" messages (yesterday being the day before you downloaded\built letterbomb)

I had a similar issue but it was calander related; I had to go up 1 month to get the letterbomb to appear have you checked your calander date/time? if so just try checking ahead a month or two to see what appears.

Got it all to work now, except for SNEEK+DI. Would reinstalling the MIOS, cMIOS, and BC overwrite anything with SNEEK+DI?

Once I install a wad do I need to continue carrying the wad on my SD card? I'm guessing the answer is I can delete it because every time I go to install a new wad it re-installs all the old ones I had there prior, but I rather be safe than sorry on this.

I've really appreciated all the help I've gotten here, by the way. Thanks so much.

It it's a custom channel wad, then keep it in case you want to remove the channel. Deleting through Data Management can cause problems. If they are wads of the System Menu, official channels, IOS's, cIOS's, MIOS, or BC (pretty much anything besides custom channels that you currently have installed) you can delete them.

You shouldn't be installing all wads everytime you want something new. It sounds like you are doing a batch install. Use Multi-Mod Manager to install a single wad (or mark the ones you want to install with +) next time.
