Just some general info I found out. It is documented in other sources, but this way it is all in one topic.

1. This DOES NOT work with an USB version with the chipset. I had a Belkin USB version, the only drivers that can be found are all for the PCI version. So I had to buy a PCI version, wich I luckely found for 22 euro's. A little E-tech crap card

But to be honnest though it's a crappy mark and finish ... it has quite a good range

2. Some people might run into trouble ( as I did ) when sharing the internet connection. It can state that it is impossible to share the internet-connection due to some stupid fault. But as stated earlier in this thread, making a bridge between your LAN en Wifi network cards works perfectomundo.
You bridge NIC's by selecting both in the network options under configuration. And then select to bridge them. Takes a while, but you should end up with 1 Brigde where both are incorporated in. And ipconfig /all should give you 1 NIC and not 2 anymore.

3. The Gigabyte AP software gives you the ability to filter on MAC adresses in "Access control" then Allow all, and you enter the MAC adress of you NDS ( wich can be found in the options menu, and can be recognized by **-**-**-**-**-** where * can be a number or a letter from A to F ). That way, as someone else said here, not everyone will be able to use the AP. Only the network devices ( recognized by the MAC address ).

You can enable WEP to secure the things even more in "Config" -> "Auth vs Security" .. but to be honnest this one I haven't figured out how it wors yet. If anyone could help me out here ?

I guess I'll give this a try.
But um, with this I still gotta switch drivers if I want to get back to the WMB server right? :/
Or can I still run WiFiMe? xD
Im gonna try it either way. Still though its gonna be great to atleast get my friend codes at home

Thanks for the info.

Yeah, just found it at another forum:
QUOTE said:
here it worked fine.

here is what i did:
1. installed the wifi card with the ralink driver
2. swithed the card to AP mode
3. OK on the screen that appears (dont need to change anything)
4. go to my ds - wifi
5. i set an ip myself to the ds. since my wifi card is 192.168.10.1, i set the ds to 192.168.10.2.
6. at DNS configuration, you place the same ip from you wifi card (in this case, 192.168.0.1)
7. go to my dialup connection config (yes, i play FINE with dial up)
8. Sharing, allow sharing with: LAN CONNECTION 3 (choose what is the name of your wifi connection, here my ETH0 is Lan connection 1 and the wifi is 3, dont know why i dont have a number 2..) This is for Windows 2000, in XP you dont need to configure the name of the connection.
9. wait some seconds
10. go to ds, test connection, works
11. play
