I couldn't test this a lot, but it seems that, on Metroid Prime: Trilogy (running the first of the 3 games), when I save, the controllers stop working (except for the power button). One of the times, I've removed and re-added the battery and it worked again.

Can someone give me a hand here testing this ?

I don't remember having this issue with the cIOS38rev17 (but I needed to use the alternate dol method. My save game is still on Veteran lol )

Thanks in advance!

MPT works perfectly with d2x v6+

I did the bootmii and showmiiwads, but I didn't try full mode.

So does RB2 work with Nand emu ? Has anyone out there got this working, if so I will defo give it a shot, RB2 & RB3 are prob my most played game.
RB3 works for me with emulated save in partial mode.
Try deleting your nand folder, maybe something is corrupted on it.

Ok I will try that as soon as ... hope it does work, great news !

So if a game uses IOS reload, and I have nand emu set to partial or full, will the game crash, or perhaps will it load up and just use Wii nand ?

Games that don't work:
Art Style:Cubello
Art Style:Light Trax
Art Style:Orbient
Art Style:Rotohex
Art Style:Rotozoa
Smash Bros. (N64 VC inject)

The non-working games all blackscreened, but when I used cIOS38 rev17, all of these games worked.

Hope that this helps. I will continue to test when I have some time later.

How do you switch to cIOS38 for a wad installed game? I'm trying to get the art style games to work, and without doing anything, I can get Rotozoa to work, but all the rest say Failed to Launch whenever i try to load them.

Can someone link me the song that plays in the background of this program, it's catchy and I want as my ringtone for my phone lol.

I know the name of the song is "take on me" But I can't find one that similar to the one that's played on this program.

With d2x v6 it will loadup but after ios reload it will use real nand.
With the upcoming v7beta1 it will keep on using emu nand even after ios reload.

Amazing, cannot wait davebaol, you guys truely are genius's

So does this mean that pretty much every game will run over nand emu, does anything else stop nand emu from running, like online play or DLC ??

Sounds like a loader issue or a usb device compatibility problem

K, I'm planning to install this, and I got a couple of quick questions:

I got IOS 36 as base Wani's cIOS249... so if I try to install d2x with base 56, does it need to have nand access? or is it going to be patched?

thanks in advance!

davebaol it worked, tested RB2 with nand emu and it works ...

I changed one thing, the CIOS slot it was set to use ... I had it set to 251, switched to 249, and the nand works ,,, BUT it was incredibly slow, took about 4 minutes to pass the first memory load, then another 4 mins at the second load. I think I used cios 251 because previously I couldn't get the mic and the 4-port hub to work on any other IOS, but I haven't tested it with your recent D2X version, changed this a while back on wanin's v18 I think.

Here's how I have my CIOS containers setup, all D2X v6:

249 ios57 (default for usb loader gx, everything runs good)
250 ios38 (spare, don't really use for any games)
251 ios37 (I use this for all my microphone games, mic & 4port hub work perfect, have noticed that no games on this IOS slot work with the nand emu ?!)
252 ios56 (spare, don't really use for any games)

can you recommended which are the best ios/slots to use (if mine are all wrong), ideally so that RB2 loads quicker with nand emu, and if the mic & 4 port works too that'd be a bonus ...

also ... does nand emu only run on 249 ?

224[57]v5.1 rodries mod
249[56] d2x v6
250[57] d2x v6

Have now tried these ios setups with usb loaders gx, partial nand emu on rockband 2:

249[56] d2x v7beta1 - Nand Emu works, takes about 4 mins to load the nand
249[57] d2x v7beta1 - Nand Emu works, takes about 4 mins to load the nand
249[37] d2x v7beta1 - Nand Emu doesn't work
249[38] d2x v7beta1 - Nand Emu doesn't work

same results if I use slot 250, wonder why RB2 takes 4 mins to load, the SD card works fine for most other games ... I'll try with a formatted SD card & see what happens

Working now ... I renamed my nand folder (xnand), created a fresh blank nand folder, and RB2 ran fine, it created a new save and now loads up and saves nice and fast.

So I guess I must have a corruption in my RB2 gamesave, odd tho as it used to work fine when on the standard Wii nand, I guess as I've exported the gamesaves and played around with it somewhere it's got corrupted, I reckon if I go back to my original wii nand dump and try again my precious RB2 gamesave will still be on there un-corrupted.

Next thing I was hoping to try was if the 4 port usb and mics all work fine on 249[56], I kno they used to work on 251[57] but nand emu didn't work on this slot for some reason. Will post some results soon if anyone else is interested in the best setup for using 4-port usb for the RB peripherals and Karaoke games.

Thanks again folks for the slot advice, and thanks daveboal and crew for such an amazing D2X update, this one is by far the best to date !
