Good luck with the new job Rascal. Thank you for all the work you have put in maintaining the database.

I'm looking to update the .rod manually. I only grab English language games and do away with duplicate releases so any tweaks I do won't be much use to the community. I've installed some SQL software to read the .rod file and populating most of the info is straight forward.

The fields I'm struggling with are:

id
header
language

Anyone know how to go about getting the relevant info for these fields?

Just checking out how slow the scene has been. Less than 130 titles since I last updated. I'm going to go ahead and see if I have the time to do some updates for you guys (if anybody is still interested). No promises, maybe 10 every day or so (or more if the ROM info isn't too convoluted). I just need to know if there were any propers or clean dumps released for titles below the last update (5692) so I can go back and get them.

Looks like only 3678 - Mathematik ... was redumped and 5790 and 5807 (DS Scene numbers) were bad and re-released shortly thereafter. Should be easy to get do the updates. Keep your eyes peeled in the next few days. Post a reply if you are going to use these updates as I don't want to be doing this if nobody's going to download them.

I'll also be keeping an eye on downloads and if there is enough demand, I will continue.
I say this because I was informed of DS-Scene's utility, which while nice is lacking features. Especially the ability to recognize a trimmed ROM and it doesn't have a native Mac OS version.

But seriously, thanks for all the effort you put in updating this database. I know how much time it will consume.
It's now well over 2 years that this thread was started to maintain the database when the programmer of rominator couldn't anymore. 1658 roms added.

We've had ups and downs but rominator is still running with an up to date database. Hope people will notice the updates/Posts in this thread and come back.
