NTFS + CFG = no win . Games stored in ISO on a NTFS HDD are not recognised . I placed them in the wbfs folder , softmod is ok.. What's wrong ?
Convert the ISOs to WBFS using wii backup manager, problem fixed.

NTFS is very picky about files/directory naming. Use Wii Backup Manager to transfer the files onto the HDD and it should be good.

Hello, I'm having trouble loading games from my HDD in Configurable USB Loader, and I hope someone here can help.

I formatted my brand new WD My Passport SE 1Tb with two partitions - 250Gb FAT32 for Wii games, and 750Gb NTSF for larger files, etc. I also set Priiloader to autoboot into CFG

Yesterday, I was able to rip games to the FAT32 partition via CFG and they seemed to play fine. However, when I tried again today, the USB Loader hung on the loading screen and the HDD started beeping. I tried plugging in the USB HDD, after CFG loaded, and it still wasn't able to find the HDD.

I eventually managed to get it to work by entering the USB Loader through the System Menu, rather than autobooting through Priiloader. But I'd still like to get it to autoboot if possible.

Here's my sysCheck:

Your SysCheck looks fine (thanks for using spoiler tags). I'm pretty sure the problem is with Priiloader, but I think you can get around that by forwarding to the forwarder channel. Do you still have the wad from the channel? If so, please tell me the full name. I need the channel's 4 letter title ID (usually included in the wad name) to make a forwarder dol.

Hey guys,

I copy a MP3 file to the music folder and also made sure I changed the path in the configuration , but the music never plays. Path points to SD:/usb-loader/music/
The line you need in config.txt (either via the Configurator or manual editing) is:

music=sd:/usb-loader/music

Make sure you have it like that, without upper case.

Sorry to post something that I'm sure is going to be a simple fix but I'm at a loss.

I was bored recently and used ModMii to rehack my system. Everything went smooth as could be. I played around a bit for a few days after and then the Wii sat dormant for a while due to real life getting in the way. Yesterday I decided to play Mario Kart for a bit after work and that's where the trouble started. The game will start, but either the controllers lose sync and sit dead or the game just doesn't respond to any button presses.

According to cfg my installed IOS are:
222 Base: 38 v5.0 modmii
223 Base: 38+37 v4 modmii (r4)
224 Base: 37 v5.1 (r65535)
248 Base: 58 rev21 (r21)
249 Base: 56 d2x v4 (r21004)
250 Base: 57 d2x v4 (r21004)
If I load with 222-mload or 223-mload, the controller stays synced but the game doesn't respond to any button presses. 224-mload, 249 and 250 the controllers lose sync and sit dead. Trying to load with 248 gives me a "Fragments 0 3 ID mismatch" error. I've tried reinstalling cIOS 222 but had no luck. Does it have anything to do with IOS36, since Mario Kart and SSB both require that IOS according to backup manager and I'm having trouble with both those games? Any help would be greatly appreciated, especially since I'm sure it's something stupid simple that I'm missing.

Thanks

I was using USBLoaderCFG - UCXF - IOS58 v11 Beta 3.wad

I think the issue may be that the hard drive isn't turning on/waking up fast enough, as it seems to happen when the Wii has been turned off for a while. It even happens if I try to enter CFG through the Homebrew channel too quickly, as well as autobooting from Priiloader.

Is there a way to fix this on the Wii, or is it the actual HDD?

I have my wii set to autoboot CFG from priiloader and my wii will stay at a black screen in till the HDD fully Initializes then it will load in (Doesn't take long). Might just be your HDD.

Hmm..without uppercase , well the config.txt is as I remember it..but not sure about the upper case. Will have a look.

I have another question regarding themes though. Where do the themes get downloaded to by default? I'm downloading them via the Loader. I always get an "Error creating directory" message.

They go into the themes subdirectory of the base directory (which is typically /usb-loader).

Well, then why am I getting an error creating directory message when using the Themes downloader on the loader? Also , it seems I have to redownload the covers each time I launch the application. They don't seem to be permanently saved.

Btw, my USB drive is partitioned as 1 WBFS and 1 NTFS. My loader settings point towards my SD card.

Will support for choosing more custom paths be added to Configurable USB Loader? Since I use other loaders like NeoGamma and USB Loader GX, I'd prefer to have Configurable USB Loader loading cheats and wdm files from the same locations as they do.

I've patched it myself (http://slexy.org/view/s20SPXq6ve), and Configurable USB Loader builds and runs fine with the patch applied (with and without codes_path etc. lines in config.txt and settings.cfg), but I haven't actually gotten around to testing to see if the patch actually changes anything as I have no games that require the use of wdms and there are no cheats available for the game stored on my SD card.

EDIT: Downloading cheats' text files works - they get saved to the configured folder.

Hi everyone, I hope you can help me out here:
CFG doesn't save the change in settings I make and the covers I download. At first when I downloaded the covers it said something along the lines of "cannot create directory" so I tried creating the folders myself, but they still don't save. I also have to change a game's settings to TV Format NTSC before playing it every time I turn on the Wii.
Can somebody tell me what is wrong? Thanks.

Is there a directory in the path that is perhaps read protected? Are you sure your base directory is on the SD and not on the NTFS partition (check in the settings info pages)? If it is onthe NTFS partition, see below.

Is your drive perhaps formatted as NTFS? You'll need ntfs_write=1 in config.txt if that is the case. Check where your Cfg base directory is in the global options (push B,1,1 or navigate the menus in the GUI) to check.

Hello, I was wondering if it's possible to take screenshots ingame. Because it seems to just take screenshots in the main menu of Configurable usb loader:
http://i52.tinypic.com/29y5x3.png
So yeah just wondering if it's possible to get screenshots during a game.
It's not possible.

It's FAT32, but I've already solved my problem. Now I have another one, I can't seem to run Kirby Epic Yarn. Do you perhaps now what should I change?
Thanks(:

Nope , base folder points to the SD card. Weird really why it doesn't save covers permanently to the SD Card. It isn't write protected , USB Loader GX worked fine in this regard.

Are paths case-sensitive? If it isn't too much trouble for you , could you please give me a config.txt which has paths pointing to the SD card for covers , music etc?

EDIT : Lol , sorry...meant Write protected

Paths on FAT shouldn't be case sensitive. THe following would be valid things for covers and music:

covers_path = sd:/pathtocovers
music = sd:/pathtomusic

Only thing that is potentially case sensitive there is the sd:/ code. Those paths have to exist, though.

As for themes, I'm still a little confused. Do you have an sd:/usb-loader directory that includes a config.txt, and is there a config.txt in the apps directory? Do you have an sd:/usb-loader/themes directory? If not, create it and see if you still get theme download errors.

Dude, use the configurator that comes with the official CFG loader package.

You can only change the location of covers with it, not cheats or wdm files.
