Please don't post in all caps. Also, how is this like Dragon Quest 9? This has little to do with it, it's a side game. Other than the names and the monsters, there are few similarities.

I noticed the game still has support for the Japanese save file. Nifty. But, the anti-piracy seems to be in effect. I talked to all five people and then the ship was empty. I finished the game in Japanese but I forgot if this is normal or not... gahhhhhh

No need to keep posting =.= If people are interested, then they will most likely make their own thread. If you get no response then it just means nobody is interested in translating it.

It's by the same author as the DQ9 save editor, so the code is similar. But it seems to have a weird problem like the DQ6 editor in that it doesn't decompile correctly and I can't use the same tools as I did back on the DQ9 one.

The wiki's patch is down, and most of the sites that had a patched version uploaded have had the ROM removed.

I can't even find the patch now. Referencing a google search does nothing if you don't understand the content beyond just googling

Google doesn't bring back removed content that they tell us about

Im assuming you mean for the Pro version. Cause the english vanilla rom is out.

I was referring to the english patch for the save editor, but thank you though! I didn't even have the english patch for the rom yet. xD

And about the save editor, I tried to open my save, but it didn't work. Is it simply because my sav is for the pro, patched version?

The one posted is for the regular version. The one for Pro is here: http://www.asa-o.net/tools/dqmj2p_cheat

That's weird. For some reason the program shows mainly squares. I know this is what comes up when your comp can't read japanese, but my comp has never shown squares before. Why does it do it for this program?...

EDIT: Neeever mind. Got it.
