Homebrew Mike Tyson Punchout

anyone play this game for NES? Is there an effective method to beat Bald Bull. Is it best to have an agressive attack mode, or should i wait until bald bull throws out the first punch each time before i attack?

I can't beat Bald Bull the second time that i fight him. Especially when he does the "Bull Charge". I hit try to hit him in the stomach and he knocks me out. It seems that the belly hit does not work for me in the second time figthing him, the first time fighting him, the belly punch works.

Is there a passcode for Sandman?

This is the greatest game ever.

If you get really good on the timing Bald Bull is cake on the charge. But it takes time!

I read the link. The problem with bald bull is, when i use my STAR Punch, he evades it. So He is not easy to beat. I still have not been able to knock him down with the BULL Charge on the second fight.

have you beaten mike tyson or super macho man? I have used the passcode to play and i lost right away with tyson and super macho man.

Punch him in the gut. Don't use the start button. you have to right hand him in the stomach.
The timing has to be just right or you will be knocked out.

you can't knock him down with a regular punch. You have to use the Start or Star button to knock him down in the second fight. That's the only way he goes down.

I have hit him in the gut when he bull charges, but i can't connect. The gut hit works like a charm in the first fight, the second fight with him, for some reason, i can't connect the punch in the gut when he bull charges.

Did you beat him on a gba sp, NDS or was this on the nes console? I am playing this on gba sp.

I beat him on my computer emulator but on the gba sp, i have not.

Playing this game on GBA SP, is purely magical. No words to explain this. I play it every morning. My favorite player to beat is the japanese fighter, he by far has the best fall when you knock him down. I think they use a body double on the japanese fighter because him and mike tyson have similar physique.

Isn't it just that the timing is a little tighter for the bull charge the second time around....or like the amount of bounces changes before you can hit him or something? I know if you don't beat him quick, his bull charge starts moving really fast. And yeah, it's ALWAYS just a right-handed gut punch during the bull charge to instantly knock him down.

As many years as I've played this game, I can never get passed Mr Sandman. He whoops my ass like a red-headed step-child every time. But I've never attempted to look for any help beating the game......I just play it. The fact that I never owned an NES myself (only played at friend's houses) didn't help. Of course now I have it emulated, but alas, my reflexes are slowing down and now I get stuck at either Bald Bull (if I can't nail his bull charge) or Soda Popinksi.

Take a look a the bottom-right in the audience when Bald Bull does his Bull Charge. There's a guy who flashes his camera in time for the punch to knock him out every time he does it.

I have never played sandman, that's why i asked if there is a passcode for it. Thanks for the youtube link, that's a great tutorial.

I fought Bald Bull and i knocked him out in the first round. Then he did the bull charge over and over and over and over again for 3 straight rounds non stop because i didn't try to punch him in the stomach. He did not land one single punch on me.

I was thinking i am gonna win the fight because i already knocked him down once in the first round and i was sure, i was the winner.

Then the fight goes to decision, and then Mario awards Bald Bull the winner. I couldn't believe it. How is that possible?

i played the game for a few hours today, i was finally able to play sandman for the first time ever. I lost real fast. I couldn't land any punches on that dude. It was not easy.

Back in 1987 or so, yes I did. NES came out my freshman year of college. Good times, good times.

You need to play it again, this is the greatest game ever. I am playing this on my gba sp, IV EZ Flash card, and using visual boy advance emulator. No way to explain how amazing it is to play this game on the most perfect hand held device. I am gonna buy a gba micro pretty soon just to play all the old school nes games.

Just watched this video on how to beat sandman. You hit him in the face first and then you start hitting him on his stomach. Didn't know that, thanks to youtube, everything is ready. Where was youtube when i was a kid?

There is a god after all. I had this weird dream that i could play all my old school nes games on a hand held device and thanks to this website i purchased ez flash iv card and i was able to make this happen. This is pure entertainment.

I have an xbox, and i played it only for one week, there is no replay value. But with old school games, NES with certain games, i can play this forever.
