Looks awesome! A bit impractical seeing how tiny the control stick is, but looks like a lot of fun.

Yes, its also on my list of things to do, I have been trying to get one , but there are not many available on ebay australia, so when they come up, they go for to much. Also planning one eventually with a caanoo.

I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
