Hello.
Im running a backup of brawl ntsc and I am trying to get a GCT working. The gct works fine for the disc version of the game.
However, when starting it on wiiflow i get a black screen crash immediately.
So I used a textfile version of the codes so I could enable and disable codes to see what was causing the problem.
Apparently, it wasn't any specific code, but rather once I enable too many codes the game refuses to start.
My gct has about 800 lines, and the game crashes when I enable about 500 of them.
Now, I had heard that there was/is a 256 line limit for usb loaders but I'm not sure if that information is out of date or what.
I'd appreciate any help I could get on the issue, I quite adore wiiflow and would hate to not be able to use it...

I finally upgraded from Wiiflow 2.1 R92a to R355. I also installed D2X cIOS v6. It's amazing how all my games work now without problems. Sam & Max, Metroid Prime Trilogy they work 100% now. Thanks to the Wiiflow team, great work.

I have two points that I would like to mention regarding the new version.

1. In the old version there was an option to choose whether the "fast skip button" should skip x number of games or skip to the next letter in the alphabet. I used the later setting, but in the new version I can't find that setting and thus only the first option is possible. PLEASE bring back that option, I really liked to be able to skip to the next letter with one button.

2. I have enabled the Return to channel option. Works great, when I press Home in a game and choose Wii Menu it reloads Wiiflow. However if I choose Reset instead, the game is reloaded. In the old version the Wii was reset so I went back to the System Menu. Is that an intentional change or is it a bug? I liked it better in the old version.

I want to thank the team for making a great loader, I really like it and the two issues I mention here are only minor, but I hope they will be dealt with one day.

@petspeed....for r355:

1.) B+Up/Down to go to next/previous letter....

2.) Home -> Reset = reloading game is how it *should work*....in the past, it didn't work correctly as a limitation of the cIOS; with d2x, it behaves as it would if you were playing from a disc....

i was a big fan of the former B+L/R to page Left/Right....that has been changed to Plus/Minus .... (is this the 'fast skip option' you refer to?)

Just wondering, for those who have tried it, how stable and problem-free is the latest current revision r369 of Wiiflow?

where'd you get r369?
i imagine he got it here....his info at least....
You can compile any of the later revisions yourself (r369 being the latest) by downloading the source from the link given above.

Where can I get the latest compiled beta .dol?
Currently I'm using rev355 Wiiflow 2.2

With carbonic theme, MPT trilogy gives black screen

Also had garbled cover images...
Now my Drive is breaking down, or at least the .wbfs folder.

Could be something with CFG loader also....

Hi brausm08. Thank you for your reply.

1. Yes that is the 'fast skip button' I refer to. The B+Up/Down is just as good I guess even though it is not as matural as B+L/R or Plus/Minus. I will try that thanks.
2. I didn't even know that Home -> Reset is reloading the game if you use an original disc in the drive. Then I guess it is working as is should in Wiiflow. I just liked the old way where Home -> Wii Menu = Wiiflow and Home -> Reset = Wii Menu.

Thanks for the heads up.

@darkzero: i don't think 4.3 is the problem.... ...no guarantees it will work, but you could try a setup using wiiflow224 r355, then loading games which require d2x on 249/250....

this would be a loader launch on [57], so MHT and music games would also have to switched to use 223[37] or 249[56]....mine used to be setup like that before d2x came along and i had no problems--wiiflow ran smoother with my HDD for me on 224 than on anything pre-d2x.

Nah dude, right in the spot it shows me the connect hdd figure, but what you mean with loader launch on 57???

Its not like I´m expert on ios´es but I come around much of this stuff by reading, can you be a little more specific and I will make it happen here

I just tried compiling myself using the description I just linked to on the wiki. When I checked out the source from github as it says I should do, I got r338 and when I compile I get an error. Then I tried to checkout the source from googlecode. This time I got r373 and no errors when compiling.

I'm trying to get R355 working with d2x cIOS

I did already use R304 using USB harddrive and it works.

But when I start Wiiflow 355, I get a screen showing to plug in the USB drive.

What did I do.
First I installed d2x (latest version) on 250 using d2x cIOS Installer v2.1.

Then I removed from SD: apps\wiiflow
and removed the wiiflow folder on the root of the SD.

Then I installed R304 again by copying it to apps\wiiflow and also the data folder on the root of the SD.

In the apps\wiiflow folder I deleted the boot.dol (the R304 version) and downloaded the R355 version 250.dol
I renamed the 250.dol into boot.dol and placed in apps\wiiflow.

When starting Wiiflow from homebrew channel, I get the "plug in USB device" image.

I'm quite a newbie on this so there could be a step i missed or I installed d2x incorrectly.

To show my current setup, here my SysCheck log:

Try reinstalling d2x cIOS with base 56 instead of 58. Maybe that helps.

And YES !!!!!
That worked !

Really thanks for pointing me to this solution.

In info screen I see now R355 and IOS250 dx2.
And I checked Worms 2 game and it works now also (I got a freezed system when starting the game in R306 IOS249.

What I still see is that my remote seems to be disconnected when starting Wiiflow. The 4 blue leds are flashing. But after pressing a key several times the remote is synced again and works.
Or is this issue not related to Wiiflow and CIOS?
