I haven't any issue playing PSX games with PRO-B7
all the games I tried works
that's strange, my policenauts doesn't work.
it'll black screen and i have to reset to disc 2, then start my game, then it'll say to switch to disc 1 and i switch and go from there.
also, persona 2 eternal punishment doesn't work, neither does my multidisc persona 2 EP/IS work. they all black screen.
i don't think it's a problem with my eboots, they all worked on 5.50.

also, does anyone else experience really bad lag when you power on your psp and when you quit a game?
opening and closing vshmenu removes the lag, but it's really annoying and it wasn't there on B6.
oh, and i'm on 6.20.

Persona 2 :Eternal Punishment stems from one issue: the way the disc was dumped, and what file type it was when converted. It had similar issues on 5.XX...

Try another upload, or dump it yourself (if you did) and use IMGBurn or Nero to back it up into a .img or .iso, THEN convert it into an eboot. Your uploader (if you downloaded it) probably used some shitty converter or dumper.

I have 1,2 ET, 2 IC, and 3P all on my PSP.

working fine and dandy on B7. I wish I could give you a hint to where I found mine; it took me hours to find a working upload... I wish you luck?

Oh yeah... , my Policenauts works too.

VirtuousFlame, our offline feature master coder #1 has moved onto PS1 development again and is working on a Popsloader for PRO CFW aswell as a accompanying updated Popcorn Patch module to support this.

So far support for 6.20, 6.35 and 6.39 POPS has been added, currently he is concentrating his efforts on supporting the 5.X POPS libraries with more to come.

All though this is great news, it's not really a big deal for me
all the PSX games I'm interested in playing is already working, but this should make a lot of people happy
I hope they improve plugin compatibility on the next release

Wait until there's something that's worthwhile...support for switching between 6.20, 6.35 and 6.39 POPS isn't really offering anything new as most people can utilise those anyway, and it's unlikely to offer much in the way of compatibility changes.

cant wait

Slightly OT but does anyone know what the best Pops is for Chrono Cross atm? I know its supposed to be coming to jap psn so maybe its already well supported in 6.X pops, previously I believe 3.51 was the recommended popsloader w/ syphon filter 3's game id due to some pops bugs.

POPSLoader
Virtuous Flame did it again guys.

Several nosy guys of you...
wink.gif

Have been roaming the Google Code Subpages quite nicely...

Yes, our Team Founder Virtuous Flame has been working on a POPSLoader for quite some time already...

Read more to get to the juicy parts!

Well... no use hiding it anymore then?

Because, dear Readers, it has been completed. I suggest you all leave a big THANK YOU to VF for this one...

Every POPS version ever produced is supported... you can't ask for more can you?

I guess this makes PRO CFW the CFW with the best PS1 game support, no?

The sourcecode, in good old GPLv3 flavor, is available at the official POPSLoader Google Code Project.

For those too lazy to compile it themselves, you can just grab the binary from the Project Website.[/p]

Well, the much anticipated Popsloader for PRO has been released, this should make many users happy

As to, how to install it and the corresponing pops, make sure you read the readme.txt from the /modules directory

Note: You have to use the latest PRO nightly build to get it working(at least 658643515142)

Good old TOTAL LACK OF DOCUMENTATION!!>>!>!>!>!!!1111

Do we assume 5.50 is or isn't supported as 5.50 GEN used it? Same goes for 5.00....

Ok i moderately take it back...there's a good readme in the download although it still doesn't make it clear enough that the Go needs different firmware modules to the regular PSP.

In light of that perhaps we should all generate MD5 or CRC values for each file so that we have a definitive way of identifying good and bad modules in packages? (since the majority will just be downloading pre packed versions)

You need to decrypt all the firmwares to get the appropriate prx's first, with Go firmwares for the Go, and bearing in mind that apparently you cannot utilise a pops version below your motherboards limit (therefore no 3.71 on a 3000 or Go)

Well damn, if this gets easier to use (you know, a lot easier), I may have to eat my own words.

Once PSX compatibility is up there, older CFW is pretty much going to be worthless, as plug-in support and homebrew is already doing fairly good. Damn you lack of foresight!
