o did every single detail...but pokemon gold and naruto cheats doesn't work... but pokemon diamond works ._. .... it doesn't make sence at all ...

and you're sure you tried opening the cheat database in R4CCE to make sure the database entries for pokemon gold/naruto match up to the rom's you have?

ok help me out here. I've reloaded wood after a format of my R4 revolution. I've placed the usrcheat file in both cheats folder as well as rpg folder. When I load the DS menu and hit start, the icon that's selected disappears and the menu freezes. I can play the games with no issues, but trying cheats as described in this forum won't work at all. Has this happened to anyone before and what's the fix?

Possibly it might be the skin that you have...

It doesn't work on my Wood R4 V1.22, I have followed the instruction above, I found that I have select the cheat I need, but it doesn't generate a .cc file, I have trying to find someone for help. Thanks.

cant get it to work, ive enable the cheat and the game id are same
the problem is exactly wats in the video.

hi guys and gals Hello. Download this and extract the folder inside it to your desktop. Then, copy over everything from that folder to the root of your SDcard. Then, download the USRCHEAT from here and extract the .dat from that archive to the cheats folder which should be present inside the rpg folder in your sd card. download xml zip and the usercheat.dat and put in rpg cheats folder extract the 2 files and press start and press settings and press r buttons three times and when u see AR turn it on and press a button to save the settings and for the action replay name the games icon and when u playing the game and press select button name of the game cheats codes and press y cheats and press x click ok and press a button to use to active the cheat and going to work enjoy

What you should use for Cheats:

-USRCHEAT.DAT

Instructions on Getting and Moving the Cheats

0) Get Wood for R4 Firmware and replace your old R4 Firmware.

1) Download the latest USRCHEAT.DAT here: http://cheats.gbatemp.net/Temp/.

2) Move the USRCHEAT.DAT to the "cheats" folder of the _rpg folder.

Getting the Cheats to Work

0) After moving USRCHEAT.DAT to the "cheats" folder of the _rpg folder, open up your DS with the R4.

1) You should be in the Wood R4 Menu. Press the "START" button.

2) Go to "SETTINGS." You should see "System Settings" on top of the pop-up. Just set any random Settings and then press "OK." Press "OK" again to ensure that you saved the settings.

3) Now restart your DS (don't use soft reset ---> turn off your DS then turn on your DS).

4) Go to "Settings" then press "R" until you see "Cheat In Game (AR)".

5) Turn "Cheat In Game (AR) ON" or else it will not work. Press "A" to confirm the Settings.

6) Go to any game and press "Y" to bring up the information about that highlighted game.

7) Press "X" to bring up the Cheats List.

8) Tick/Untick the Cheats that you want and don't want.

9) Then press "X" to Generate the .CC file (file for Cheats).

10) Press "A" and you're all set to go.

This is what I did to make the cheats work, for the final time. I'm sure that this method will work now, as I've upgraded Wood Firmware each time.

(LITTLE NOTE: If you cannot bring up the Cheats List after all these steps, then it's possible that the Game ID for a game does not match up. Please make changes with R4CCE. Also...if the Cheats List do not show up, then the little Micro SD card icon on the top right of the Touch Screen will flash. This may be useless information, but it's just to let you know.)

I've done al this but when I press Y and then X nothing happens.... there isn't even a X-option

I think the instructions need a fix-up. Wood R4 1.31 has an update function now to fetch the latest cheat database and put it in the right place. Just go to Start-->Tools-->Update in Wood R4. Set Cheat DB to 'on' and press OK twice. Now all that is left is follow the instructions on how to enable the cheats.

OMG! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! I am one of those people that need it dumbed down as much as possible to understand how to work technological things and have been searching haw to activate AR/cheats for over a week now! After finding your tutorial, I had them working in seconds!!! Thank you soooo much once again, your a legend!

Sorry to bother, one of the newbies here, I did all that but no game will load the cheat list, it just flashes the SD card icon and I don't think the games are a problem because all of them are clean US games. What could be the problem?

P.S. Using Wood 1.28
