PSN and UMD games show the Update option when triangle is pressed. But backups don't. Is there a way to manually update them?

The Updates shown in UMD games are not updates for content, but official firmware updates. Those are the same you can get from using the update via wi-fi option.

As Jolan mentioned, you can get rid of them to save space in your memory card, since I doubt you want to update to official firmware and lose your CFW.

No, no. It is the update function when you press triangle. Not the UMD system update.

So, it seems there is no way to update games using their backups.

QUOTE(Mario92 @ Apr 22 2011, 01:33 PM) This actually sounds kinda interesting but is there actually useful updates for PSP games? I think it won't be hard to make some kind of plugin for this, maybe?

Littlebigplanet for instance, can only be played online when fully updated.

LBP can be patched relatively easy though. I would probably get in trouble if I posted links but a simple google search for "Update littlebigplanet ISO" will yield results
