And I'd rather it not wobble at all. It's not impossible to build a hinge that won't wobble and also won't crack. This is just Nintendo making excuses.

That is one lame wobble and if it is what the complaints are about I feel that it is an invalid one. Also mine does not do that.

That video is not what most people are complaining about. People are complaining about it loosely wobbling and flopping.

Well then if it is loosely wobbling during normaly play and movement then thats another story, but from that video I saw nothing that is a valid complaint.

This.

Mine doesn't click or squeak when I open it, either. It's a very nice change from my DS lite which had erectile dysfunction due to a cracked hinge.

Are people that experiencing this issue opening their 3DS past where it stops (so it clicks and the top screen is at the same angle as the touch screen)? Not that I'd really mind if it wobbled a little bit (like the video), it doesn't look like a serious problem to me.

Mine only wobbles with a hard shake, and it's not much of a wobble at all then 1/8 of an inch if that. It has as much wobble/play in the hinge as my dsi did, the slight wobble is to keep the hinge from breaking IMO, now if it has a very big wobble and it moves just by the slightest movement then I would say there is a problem with the unit IMO

"No, I want it to not move when I play my games."

It is annoying when I play Face Raiders, this is the third 3DS I got (Changed the other two for defect) and it is the one with the worst wobble... it wobble A LOT but I think I'll we learn to deal with it...eventually. And hopefully Nintendo will fix this in the future.

Mine wobbles, but it doesn't bother me too much, I would much rather have this problem than have dead pixels like my old ds phat had.

Well, the poll say it all and I think I should have made my point to the person who kept trolling me. Maybe this troll will finally get off my ass and just realize that he was wrong.
No, it doesn't because the way you worded it.

If worded correct I doubt it be the same.

My wobble as well only when I try my hardest, other than that it doesn't effect gameplay at all.

And greatly enjoying my 3DS.

Funny how he think he 100% right and anything else is trolling.

Think I know a way to get around that thing, but to much effort for silliness.
I will un-ignore you if I feel that you are not targeting a conflict with me. I can respect your opinion. You have shot me down in the other threads many times over after I made my post and made me feel that you were trolling me.

Every person has a different perception. Some people think that forceful jiggling is a wobble issue, others understand that their screen is just loose.

My 3DS is rather stiff at the hinge, the way I want it to be. I can be careful with my 3DS. But many people will purchase this for children who are not so careful.

Obviously there is some inconsistence with the manufacturing of the 3DS. N needs to get it straight no matter what so everyone can understand it from a common field. There should not be a vast difference from one 3DS to another. They should be all equal. And even more so, if there is fear of hinge breakage then N should have worked it better especially with past experience, user reports, and even more so longevity.

If my 3DS breaks it's hinge in under a year then that is poor manufacturing problems or poor engineering. Nothing costing $250 should ever expect to break. It should last forever at that price. And most people will agree.

I don't want to fight this with you. I'd rather us be friends. But do understand that at $250, there should not be a single mm of a chance that it will fail from normal use. And point proven that so many are unhappy and have returned their 3DS to get one that does have a stiffer hinge. Not everyone cares as much as the majority does, but I, as many other, do expect perfections without excuses after paying $250. N could really make this device better, and rev 2 will compensate for their short comings.

So, do you want to be friends and understand that I have a different quality viewpoint than you? I am game for understanding that you se things different than I do, but I honestly would hat if my screen flopped around like as if there was loose slack instead of it holding still.

I understand, but my opinion still stands. Although I can imagination some hinges flopping in the wind
like bird wings 'cause things aren't perfect.

I have said the same thing in many other threads but I will say it again. I think Nintendo is legit when they say it is a preventative measure to stop the hinges from cracking. While I do not like it, I will have to live with it. It's not broken, it is perfectly fine. If the next 3DS has a perfectly fine, stiff hinge, I will be disappointed. They should not give into consumer pressure and stick with what they think is right.

@DeadlyFoez: You might as well put me on your ignore list because I still think you are the most ridiculous person ever.

Good for you mr. 17 posts. You obviously have not met many of the other members of this forum.

Considering since you've been here since September of 2009 and only made 17 posts, there is no point of putting you on my ignore list because you don't post often enough where you will annoy me. If anything you should be putting me on your ignore list since you think I am the most ridiculous person ever.

My 3DS screen doesn't wobble. It can move, if I shake it back and forth like a toy baby I suppose, but it clicks into place like my DSi, and it stays there.

Is there anything wrong with reading and not posting, mr. 2537 posts? I have been an active reader of these forums for close to 2 years, I just rarely post. Believe me, I will be posting a lot in the 3DS section of the forums.

No, nothing wrong with it at all. I was just pointing out the fact that there is no point of putting you on my ignore list since I will barely ever see anything come from you... if even ever again.

Well you have seen at least five since last week, and I have posted over 15 times in the last week so I am pretty sure you will.

If people are not happy with their top screen wobbling around, instead of replacing your 3DS tou can get an armor case to hold it in. Apparently it holds it steady enough in place to stop the wobble.
