This sounds like a minor discovery since the 3DS stores its saves on the nand and we cannot access those files until it is unlocked in the next updates and then i expect nintendo to have locked them against copying. pretty much like the wii situation without a CFW we cannot edit them and no one is even close to CFW'ing the 3DS and i expect nintendo are aware that people are going to try this so they will probably lock every save game.

3DS games have been dumped, but they are completely encrypted and thus useless in their current state.

So I'm guessing they use the same keystream to encrypt the game itself, and that's why Erant was able to decrypt the game so quickly? That's awesome.
