First of all i'd like to say: Awesome program !! I really love it.

The only isue I'm having is with DVD menus. The navigation is way of.
When I click to select a subtitle language for instance, I need to click to the left
and if I'm lucky the correct subtitle gets selected.

I don't know if this was mentioned before ? I didn't feel like reading through 62 pages.

For now I just select the option to start the movie immediately, bypassing the menu.
From there I press up until I get the right subs. But it would be awesome if you could
get this to work Tantric. I saw on your forum that Sifjar mentioned something similar,
but never got an answer.
Anyone ?

come on, dude! There's gotta be something wrong with the program. All my settings on my laptop have been doubled checked, reset, and I know for sure I have set it up correctly, also, I uninstalled and reinstalled WiiMC twice. I am not sure what to do. I tried downloading an older version and then I got an error that said something like "cannot do something blah blah". I need some help, please and thank you. If you guys can't help perhaps you could tell me where on this forum I can get help.

Could you guys help me, please? I have been using WIIMC for a few months now and I have never had a problem. I have also been using the SMB Share feature without any issues. Today when I tried to watch a movie I keep getting a "failed to connect to network share" error, I am not sure what would cause this error as nothing has changed. Nothing has changed at all. It's just not working. I uninstalled the app, reinstalled and it's still not working.

Any advice you guys could give regarding this so I could stream my movies again would be greatly appreciated.

PLEASE HELP!!!

Thank you very much!

Well something has to have changed otherwise why would it stop working? Have you checked to see if computer that hosts the network share still has the same IP address assigned to it that is set in WiiMC? Have you checked to see that the permissions to the share are set so that anyone on the network can access them including the Wii? - Using a second PC with a different user account/password to verify this is a good idea.

If this does not help, be patient. If someone has an answer they will post back. Also you may want to try posting your issue with as much detailed information as you can over at the official WiiMC forums: http://www.wiimc.org/forum/

Does anyone know of a good way to convert .mkv files into .avi without losing the damn soft subtitles or having them hard coded only to have the subs come out garbled? I spent two whole days trying to convert Maria Holic into 720x480 .avi files.

Youtube streaming is broken in last version 1.1.5.

Smb is slower.Dunno about SMB, but YouTube and SHOUTcast are down for all versions of WiiMC as the site hosting the scripts pulled an about-face.

From WiiMC.org:
Tantric @ Mar 25 2011YouTube and SHOUTcast Down
As many of you have noticed, YouTube and SHOUTcast are down. This has happened because WiiMC’s web host has decided these scripts, which are hosted on wiimc.org, are not allowed and has blocked them. So we either need to find a new place to host these scripts, or find a new host for wiimc.org itself. I think the latter is the best option, and would help for future growth. If anyone can offer WiiMC some decent hosting please drop me a line.

I tried it with my rev17 cios, and it gave a "unsupported ios, may not work correctly". I looked through my hard drive and it played everything I could throw at it. No errors, or bugs in the GUI that I could find anyway. I tried movies, and music files.
