I'd like to beat the Elite 4 but I'm afraid I grew my Sawk to 46 being my highest and ignored my starter Serperior..

I have alot of diversity with my team well I tried typewise going in thinking this would be good, I'd like some feedback on what would make this a better team or how to beat them.

Note: I am not experienced in all the physical sweepers and staller terms I will get more familiar at some point, but for now I'd just like to know what the ideal team type wise and everything to beat them easily.

To be honest though I'm not a fan of anything but physicals that get the job done.

So here is my team..

Sawk 46
Victini 41
Serperior 40
Cofagrigus 38
Druddigon 37
Pwniard 31

things I thought I could add that are in PC:

Zebstrika 41
Golett 32
Archen 29
and maybe Heatmore 37

The only thing I can see right now is if I trained Pwniard it could take out all of Marshall's pokemon so thats one down. Because dark steel is highly ineffective against fighting.

Haha thats EXACTLY what I do on the older games, on yellow I beat Elite 4 with 71 Pidgeot, and on Platinum I beat with a high empoleon.

That's all I can remember honestly but, do you mind me asking what starter is it?

And what threw me off for black was if I just trained my starter to a high level that I probably would win because my sawk could smash anything until the elite 4 so I relied on it which was BAD. And I don't know I been losing hope because of how hard they are against my Sawk I started to lose hope that there like 10x harder then the old games.

im using emboar (tepig starter)
you might have some difficulty with serpeiror.

what you can try to do is teach victini shadow ball and level it up to around level 46-50 and use it against the elite 4. most of them use psychic moves/type pokemon

Thats a clever idea. Yeah I sort of envisioned that would happen, considering I got only for looks thinking it be like bulbasaur..

QUOTE(helloworld12321 @ Mar 23 2011, 01:49 AM) To be on the safe side, you should train your pokemon around level 50ish (i just beat the elite 4 with my Zekrom and Daikenki/Samurott)

your either hacking to use Mascott legendary in Elite 4 or your fighting them 2nd time around.

wait can I activate the legendary trio/ or any legendaries before the elite 4?

Who focuses on EV's to beat the Elite 4? Just go ahead and level grind. Your levels are on par with mine, and I'm only on the fifth gym.

Audino grinding?

I don't rely on EV's, but Rare Candies can screw you up.

I actually am trying to use an Audino, and it isn't that bad. I need to find the right move set for it though.

They don't really screw up your pokemon. Rare candies just do as they say, "raise your pokemon's level up by one". There isn't actually any problems with doing that and technically you don't really screw yourself over unless you level up a pokemon with only rare candies. EV points are only obtained through the pokemon being in battle, so you really could just use rare candies to level 60-70 and there still would be any problems (hell maybe even level 99 would work). The only thing I don't remember is how the EV points are accounted for in the next level since usually the EV points are gained gradually and thus the stats improve gradually, but I'm guessing that it might not be gradual if you rack up all the EV in one level (which would mean that the rare candy to level 99 would work and you wouldn't end up any worse for the wear).

EV's are added until Level 50 I think. SO if you use 50 Rare Candies to get to Level 100 AFTER you reach Level 50, you should be fine.

My example for how they screw you up, outdated as it may be, Rare Candying in R/B/Y gave you a Level 100 with the stats of a Level 50.
