ROM Hack Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the sky FREEZE PROBLEMS!

Hey guys, I have a little problem. I got very far into the game and was doing fairly well when my game suddenly started freezing at random points.I'm using the VENOM cracktro version and it was fine up untill now, im at the bit where you need to defeat the eagle thing and the knights. Freeze points are:
Speaking to the pope at the church, beginning of a battle, changing armour and other points. Maybe there is a way to fix this? I dont know if there is but i got so far... :'( If i have to change the rom, how do I move my save file to it so i can keep my progress?

This should have been posted in the R4 forum.

Try playing with a clean dump, reformat your card with the Panasonic formatter, and turn on any AP codes/settings are all things that jump to my mind.

Can't comment on the freezing, but to use your old save on a new ROM you just rename the old .sav (Or .nds.sav) to the name of the new ROM.

So if the old file was named something like "DQIX.nds" then the save would be named "DQIX.sav"

Since you have a new game with a name like "NewDQIX.nds" just rename the save to "NewDQIX.sav"

WRONG.

The Venom Cracktro version creates a save incompatibility.

Next time, use a clean ROM from the start, and for God's sakes get the cartridge.
