Yes ! The long wait is over and what the patch came out so fast.. awesome work!

Just one thing... is it only me (and I know it is illegal to post roms here dont worry) or the ROM is un-findable on the net? I mean I tried to find it and nothing =_= (and I used google..) though I am not an expert on finding everything on net ><
well... so is it on internet? :wtf:

It's a bit pointless to discuss the working state of exp gain since the fix to it is now hardcoded into the ROM. However, I'd like to point out that there are no additional freezes on SCDS-1 at least as far as I've played. I'd think that anyone who does has a compatibility issue caused by their flashcart's firmware. It's probably not emulating some stuff properly.

Well, this patch will do nicely for my sis's R4 sdhc clone with YSmenu. Luckilly, I just bought a SCDSTWO GBAtemp edition a few months ago. It runs without any kind of errors, but if I encounter I will repor here.

==Off topicnes starts here==

Has anyone located the text files yet? I would love to find out where it is, but unfortunately I'm at school, so I can't have a look with Nitro yet >.

Just a quick question : does somebody checked if the Union Room problem and the freezes are present using the latest AKAIO ? Because if not,I'll wait for a more complete patch.

Dind't see the cart: EZ Flash Vi on there so I will post my findings:
EZ Flash Vi FW:101 Kernel:3.0 ob1

Clean ROM: Works but no EXP, didn't encounter any crashes.

Pathed: Works and received EXP.

I played until route 1 so I do not really know for sure that there wont be any random crashes.

Hope this helps

Can anyone confirm if there is any freezing with Akaio 1.8.5a? I haven't experienced any so far but I only just got to the first city. And if there are freezes, how frequent so I know when to save.

Totally depends on your Flashcard/TF-SD card. If you have a shitty Micro sd from any kind of cheap buisness, then it will be hella slow

. If you have a good sd card, most likely 4gb class 2 or something, then it should run fine. The freezes depend on the firmware of your card+speed of the sd card. When it came out, I ran it on a R4 with wood 1.20 or something, without any kind of freezing. (about 2 hours straight).

If you aren't sure, I would say: Save every 30-60 minutes. 20 can if you like, but your DS will drain as crazy if you save very often.

Couldn't this Union Room problem be actually because of a bad dump, just like the (J) Black? Just a wild guess.
By the way, has any emulator user gotten one of those random freezes?

How do I use this with desmume? Do I put the patch in the game folder and run it? Or in the emu folder? Do I run it at all or just put it somewhere?

Sorry for being clueless

    Interesting lol

I think I watched a video where two games at 4K where eating just over 16GB of RAM and it's the one case where the 7900XT and XTX pulled ahead (minus RTX of course)
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So my opinion is that they could age a bit better in the future, and maybe AMD will continue improving them via drivers like they tend to do. No guarantee there but they have done it in the past. Just a feeling I have.

cyberpunk at 4k without DLSS/fidelityfx *might* exceed 12gb
    +1
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but that game barely runs at native 4k
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think it was some newer games and probably poorly optimized PS4 or PS5 ports
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
they definitely will age better but i feel dlss might outweigh that since it looks about as good as native resolution and much less demanding
    +1

When I played Cyberpunk on my old 2080 Ti it sucked lol
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
AMD could introduce something comparable to DLSS but nvidia's got a lot more experience with that
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
least amd 7xxx has tensor cores which the previous generations didn't so there is the potential for AI upscaling
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They have FSR or whatever it's called and yeah it's still not great
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
so AMD seem to finally be starting to take AI seriously
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Oh yeah those new 8000 CPUs have AI cores built in that's interesting
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Maybe they plan on offloading to the CPU?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Would be kinda cool to have the CPU and GPU working in random more
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Tandem even
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i think i heard of that, it's a good idea, shouldn't need a dedicated GPU just to run a LLM or video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the nvidia shield tv has AI video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
LLMs can be run on cpu anyway but it's quite slow
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
Have you ever been beaten by a wet spaghetti noodle by your girlfriend because she has a twin sister, and you got confused and fucked her dad?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I had a girlfriend who had a twin sister and they would mess with me constantly.... Until one chipped a tooth then finally I could tell them apart.... Lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They would have the same hair style the same clothes everything... Really messed with my head lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think nvidia wants to get in the x64 cpu market anyways
