the topic and description say it all really.

im running on
NDSL
DSTT (latest firmware)
and the EzFlash V slot 2 card

all the roms play fine, but i keep getting save errors, or the system saying it has saved but simply hasn't... am i missing something?... should i have a "save" folder or something like that?

well my DSTT card IS fine, and the GBD card is fine too... im just curious if i have missed a patch or something? a file? i am meant to have for it to save... YSMENU is the one that looks like the old R4 menu right? because i use that already to PLAY the games, they just dont SAVE.

perhaps a dead battery on the EzFlash V? It can cause saves to not be made when saving (or should I say it doesn't keep the saves after power down).

Oh, a question, in what mode are you playing? PSRAM or NOR? you can only save on NOR mode. If you are playing in NOR, it must be the battery (the one inside the cart, that allows the save of games) if so, you can simply change it.

I forgot something. Sometimes, the cart is not well connected. You can play games but you cannot save (it happened to me sometimes) Just take it out, clean with something soft the pins and reinsert, then try again.

Use "Panasonic SD formatter"...

Format your microSD, put only the DSTT kernel + 1 game you have problem with and test

if it still not okay, i think your microSD have a problem!
