@ habababa maybe I should update the first post to reflect the two different patches... Or maybe I should just use only the last one... that kinda makes more sense. Time to get back to work on the other stuff. thanks for the help. 2 out of 64 gmes done, 24 or more other images elsewise.

Looking up some things. Interesting the one legacy I just downloaded doesn't work with my patch... (someone once told me there is no such thing as paradise).

differences from the one in the first post - none really use legacy and name your target "0709 - Zoids Battle Colosseum.nds" If this still doesn't work p.m. me....

ah one goal on my to do list done correctly identified pointer in an overlay. Now all I have to do it test my theory that changing it isn't as big a deal as I was lead to believe even better in order. (mostly)...

Actually the game isn't that hard to play even with the language barrier,long as you remember what the menus outside of battle and in the zoids research facility do your golden...

wrong game man. Battle coloseum has no research facility. This is rock paper scissors cardlike game.

I gotta say having the pointers is making the script dumping go so much faster.
I managed to fix the town names (one thing off of my to do list yeah)...

I tried your patch and it works fine on Desmume but on my R4, all I get is a white screen. I didn't trim it or nothing. Well, I did but when I got the new rom, it ran fine. The unpatched one will run on my R4 but not sure about the patched one. Any help would be appreciated.

Then don't trim it. I am pretty sure I gave good instructions... as to what to use what to do, just sick with that. (not trying to sound arrogant just had problems before with which to use on what)

oh its a health point issue... and largely relies on chance. I have so far only done it once.
you know how you get the lock on screen... same thing...
when your hp is this and you do that then there it is. Sorry I was actually getting pointers down and didn't have the video running as I was taking screenshots of something else.

I will have that cards translation up eventually. sorry... there is a couple of lines that are the same and I need to go back and edit them.

Hey~ I just started playing this game again on my DS and was wondering if there was any sort of translation and stumbled upon this thread. Is this still in the works? I might be able to assist with some translations if it's still needed. I'm not so great at script translation, but I'm quite familiar with the series, so character names/zoids/etc I could help with.

(I'm also a total dunce with emulators and can't figure out how patches work, but whatevs.)

well that is good to hear...
the problem being that aside from the some 80-ish images the script is all that is left.
Which I am unfortunately still in the process of dumping.
So go back into this thread and look for the mediafire link to the zoids images. (or wait I may have it somewhere...oy) you should be able to look at them in gallery view and not need to download them unless they aren't that clear.
no need to actually edit the images just tell me what they say...

That last part I'm guessing on a bit. I'm a little confused by the "らしからぬ", but it looks like it's a way of saying unlike/uncharacteristic. My translation is clunky here.

hey if you would rather pm me that would be okay... look through the zoids folders for a gmes text or odf file. I did my best with ocr software. It may make it go quicker going to have the odf or txt file to go with the images (which the text files are not 100% accurate)..

I am just thankful for the help.
