Gaming Idiots That Talk

So I had gone to IGN, a major gaming website, and read the review of a game called Bangai-O Spirits, when I saw some idiot write this in the comment section:

First off, I wouldn't want to trust his credibility because he says "missile-shooting action" when it's really called "Shooter Bullet Hell" (but I'm nitpicking). You can easily tell the idiotic part of this post. He announces one of the world's top gaming websites that he owned a now illegal (in the UK) device, that he was about to pirate a game, that he downloaded a rom, and that the only reason he bought it was because it was it didn't work on his DS, also implying that he has pirated other games. How stupid do you really have to be to do something like this? I mean, is he trying to get banned or something? I want to know what you think.

Well, the stupid part is that you can't announce something such as this on a website like IGN without getting a demerit of some sort. You shouldn't really out your piracy on a major site that is clearly very much against piracy. I would like to think I'm overreacting, and I probably am, but it's idiots like this that give pirates and hackers in general a bad name, that we're lazy douche bags who will do whatever we can not to have to pay for software.

If a moderator caught that post then he would definitely be banned and the post removed. But, moderation on IGN has been pretty slow lately (there is a lot of spam in their articles)

Is it stupid? Sure. Does the poster care? Not likely, he'd just make a new account anyway.

Maybe he uses his R4 to try games before buying them? And because he couldn't get the ROM to work, he took a risk and bought it? But that's just me trying to find the good in people.

You are correct sir. It is a sad state of things when you can not even insult someone without having to spell out the insult to them. It really takes away all the fun of the insult.

Personally, I blame MTV & A.D.D (Moral of the story is, Stop being ****** parents that just let the TV raise your kids. Take some responsibility for what your kids do and stop using made up "diseases" as a crutch)

Banned? I don't think IGN cares what people say in their forums -- they're unmoderated. IGN is more about sensory-overload ads and videos than actual words and human thought.

IGN's editorials are pretty good, for what I look at. Beyond that...the words "garbage writing," "overly biased," and "ignorant" come to mind. Like the Homefront interviewer for example.
