ROM Hack Pokemon Black & White US/Eur Question

hello everyone

i have a little question

i've been playing the jap version and its awesome , but when the US version comes out will there be a hack/program/tool to transfer your save/pokemons from the Jap version to the US version ?

cause i dont want to replay the whole game , i just want to play online with my friends the ones that doesnt have the Jap version

Sav's SHOULD be compatible between versions. at least they are with all the games I've tried so far.
So just renaming the Sav file to the new region ROM name should do the trick ^^

Go ahead and try using a sav on different games versions.

I've done this with multiple games.

Jap KHDays SAV worked with USA and EUR releases. only had to rename the Sav to the ROM name.

Jap KHRecoded SAV worked with USA and EUR Releases. same as above.

Eur Sonic Colours Sav worked with USA sonic Colors release. had to rename the sav to the ROM name.

Should I go on?
In most cases this works. I have yet to find a game which sav isn't compatible with other versions of the same game

Every pokemon game I've played has had internationally (and sometimes even multi-version) compatible save files. as long as the JP save and the US rom have the same name it should work automatically. If it really doesn't in the case of Black/White, Pokesav will probably allow you to do it.

Games are 99% the same. just different language.
it should not freeze.. >>
At least, not in normal cases.

i'm not sure for nds games, but with a different language some games (in other consoles too) change some offsets...

good to remember: your pokemon names will look odd in the EU/US version
and using a different version save can mess up the version-exclusive area.

The Japanese saves are compatible with the English games, except for a few issues (such as Pokémon names remaining Japanese, possible issues with Wi-Fi, etc.).

Hi guys,

I've got a stupid problem with my PBlack rom....The way I'm saving it is wrong I guess. The save keeps jumping back to the start, so I played for a few hours and saved it a few times. The latest save I did was 6:18, the next day I started the game and it continues at 0:18.....one of the first saves I made. I tried to solve this problem but I can't get rid of it...
Does someone knows the problem?

What are you using to play the game? Are you using an emulator or a flashcart? Which emulator/flashcart are you using?

It happened the same with me, what i do is, everytime I save the game I reset it and it works at least for me, you may want to try it out, but yes its tiring to do it every time! >.
