I use cIOS249 with base IOS56 and it works for almost all of my games. MHT works perfectly with not problems at all; lag free.

It could be a good idea that people who are reporting it's working give us the reference of the HDD they use.
I followed Kittymat's advice (thanks!), and ordered a portable Seagate HDD (Expansion 500Gb), hope it will solve the lag problem.

EDIT:

Does it make any games annoyingly unplayable?
Yes. It's not very fun to regularly miss notes in rhythm games like Rock Band 3.

QUOTE(strapsoz @ Jan 3 2011, 01:31 AM) Are there any known issues with v19 b57? (except the need for hermes v4 37 + 38 for games like cricket and MHT)
With Rock Band 3, my Logitech mic is not detected if I use base 57, detected if I use base 56 (but base 56 is only available in rev 20+).
And my Sandisk 16Gb Class 2 SDHC card is only detected with rev 20+.

Yea... Rev21 doesn't seem like it has any problems to me. I think .t's better then the previous Rev 20
For some, rev19 is the superior choice due to controller lag issues present with certain USB drives. For those who do not have these controller lag issues, rev21 would appear to be the superior choice.

@boondoklife : Thanks for your answer.

@PrimeTime 84 : I'm not sure, but I don't think so. My class 2 SDHC card is working perfectly with retail disc of Rock Band 3.
Anyway, it seems to me that games like Guitar Hero or Rock Band copy the track you are about to play from SD Card into Wii memory, and then delete it from Wii memory just after you've played it.

I'm still waiting for the Seagate HDD I bought (I'll receive it tomorrow if everything goes as expected), I will soon be able to check by myself if the lag issue I have is caused by an incompatibility between the cIOS and my Western Digital My Passport HDD.

Wouldn't surprise me. A couple of games basically use the NAND as virtual memory as well. Since I found that out ppl been scared of wearing out there nand by installing and deleting stuff or using the SD menu have been quite amusing. If you play SSBB for 30 minutes you've probably done more damage to your nand than a whole year of fucking around with the FS yourself and running all your channels from SD.

I received my Seagate Expansion 500Gb HDD today.
The controller lag is still there.
I tried again my Warioland : Shake It test; and the message saying the wiimote is disconnected still appears regularly. And of course, no controller lag with Hermes cIOS.

The controller lag is the same for me with rev20. Rev19 was the latest version without the controller lag issue.

Rev20b seems to be the best for me well a mixture of rev17[249], rev20b[250][57]it just seems tht only rev17 can get iso forwarders to work right in usbloaders like wiiflow and cfg; while rev20b seems to load all games fine

on a side note someone on these forums noted rev21 didnt have the 002fix ? not sure if it's true and i asked on the noob question forum with no response. oh well.

I was really hoping for better triiforce support

whenever i delete rev17 my iso forwarders dont work; i keep a wad version for easier install when i try a different ios in slot 249

i just get a black screen not sure why but i do use 222 to boot them i always guessed rev17 was used to boot triifoce for NandGames folder.

i could never get iso to run in usb loaders so i always converted them .wbfs would that be a problem?

If you're using a Triiforce forwarder ISO, you need to launch it using a hermes cIOS (ie. 222), and u need to have a triiforce compatible cIOS249 installed (so rev17 or rev21). This is because IOS222 is able to launch triiforce, but triiforce reloads to cIOS249, so u need both. If loading a standard forwarder ISO (ie. WiiMC, FCEUGX, etc.) then u just need to launch it using a hermes cIOS... but u probably won't have direct hardware access if launched this way (so no reading from DVD) at least not unless new forwarder ISOs are built to support that. Personally I prefer just launching apps from forwarder channels via the main system menu.

I don't use ISOs either (although they should still work), I'm just used to calling them "forwarder ISOs" even though I am technically using "forwarder wbfs files", lol.
