What software can I put on my Original M3 Adapter that uses a CF card?

I also use the passkey 2 with it to play DS games.

Looking to give it to someone so I need to update the software.

Thanks

You haven't specified if it's a slot-1 cart or slot-2 cart.

If it's a slot-1 cart, you can probably find some really old outdated version of Wood, or M3Sakura, which is just custom Moonshell2 that allows for commercial ROM loading.

If it's a slot-2 cart... then I don't know.

EDIT: Oh wait, you mentioned a PassKey... then I don't know use the default Touchpod firmware, if the slot-2 cart even uses that.

It goes in the GBA slot and the Passkey goes in the NDS slot.

I guess its just better to tell the person to buy a new M3 or R4?

Sadly all the firmwares for the slot-2 cards are out of date and will never be updated.
I suggest looking into new flashcard, not another M3, Avoid M3's!
I suggest looking into some flashcards like Supercard DSonei, Supercard Two, Acekard 2i, R4, or R4i Gold, since all of those cards have active teams and update regularly.

I wouldn't throw it away. It's still a very good GBA cart. There are still people who are looking for a good GBA cart.

If you have not dsi maybe but with dsi it is .......

At the very least, he can try to sell it. Should be able to get $40 or more. Try selling in this forum or in a retro forum such as racketboy.com.
