Retro dont do firmware, he do "Kernel"...

Firmware is to upgrade the compatibility with the DSi/DSi XL machine
Kernel is to improve the game compatibility for the DSTT/DSTTI

As you are the only one with any sense, can you give instructions on what to do and how to do it please. This thread has become so diluted with other peoples' ideas it has become a confusing mass of contradiction.

At least this way we will be able to say YES, it works for us or NO, it doesn't.

I've seen 5 or 6 different 'packs' to download in this thread. Can you please make this as idiot proof as posible and tell us all what to download and give links?

If you follow this thread from the very first post and read everything then you will soon realise that it no longer makes any sense to people who simply want to play games. We don't undersatnd how you have made it possible, we're just grateful, and too many people have contributed useless crap in here.

We just need a definitive answer.

Please go to the first page and download the only pack for 1.4.1 for REAL DSTTi...

I've just been unfortunate enough to purchase some fake DSTTi cards, the versions before the 1.4.1 DSI firmware version (1.4.1 in the yellow star on packet) appeared. The DSI is version 1.4.1.e.

One has been destroyed by the Fake killer/whatever it is in the Kernel I downloaded (version 1.17 and various other attempts with different versions). Card always returned "This is a Fake" when selected. The card has the Icon "Alex Rider Stormbreaker THQ" to select the card, not the Star Wars Alliance I have read about.

Having had no positive response from the supplier, and out of desperation, I tried another card with version 1.17a02, apparently with the Fake killer removed.

All the cards, except the 1st one, work fine on 1.4.1.e. From what I have read, these cards should not work at all, all the fixes I read about were either fake or could simply did not work, may be down to my stupidity, new to this DSI thing. Nonetheless, all cards are now working which is great, so may be of help to others.

However, cannot fix the 1st one, have tried the Flashwirter v0.5 but did not recognise the fake killed card when I inserted (after prompting from running off good card). Help with that would be appreciated.

The DSTTi we got are all Red PCB with number on the back , some people are complaining that Lightake are selling fake dstti . Fortunately I find this thread . thanks for the detailed info .

If you can contact them to ask for 3.1 version of the TTiCheck,
to include some "forgotten" DSTTi...

DSTT TEAM are very bad with their customers !!!

They dont care about them!
