Gaming NDS Game Of The Year 2010.

I gave up on PKMN heart gold. I got to... Vermillion City, then I decided to just stop. And I had a good team too.

I've never been the biggest Golden Sun fan, and I'm finding Dark Dawn, to be a forgettable experience.

Just stating why I never voted for them...

Many good games this year. Dragon Quest IX, Golden Sun, and 999 are the ones I got the most into (some games on the list that I intend to play, but haven't gotten around to yet), and between those 3, it's a tough choice. DQ9 has a better core system than GS, but GS has the story and overall world (it's pretty nice to come back to Weyard after so long). However, I ended up voting for 999, mainly because it's a visual novel. Games like these are often obscure and, in my opinion, need more attention.

So yeah, 999 on top with DQIX as a close second.

I went for Rune Factory 3

My reasons- I had heard so many great things about DQix that it came as a bit of a disappointment when I finally got round to playing it
Golden Sun was more of the same, and despite being really excited it was exactly as I thought it would be
999 is awesome but I still haven't finished it
Layton was good, but seems easier than the earlier games.
Pokemon HGSS were brilliant and I spent a lot of time on them, however I now get bored as soon as National Dex is opened as I really cannot be bothered to catch them all

RF3 took me completely by surprise, despite having the first one on my card for many years I had never played it.
Super Scribblenauts comes a close second....

(I edited this due to unnecessary overuse of the word 'awesome'. It isn't even a word I use in normal life)

I was torn between Dragon Quest 9 and the new FF. In the end, I decided that I actually preferred the new final fantasy, the dragon quest story wasn't as entertaining, though both storylines weren't all that amazing

hmm...My vote goes for 999. But then again, I haven't played too many games lately. I guess I should try out The Last Window based on what I'm reading here.

And I see GS got a high number of votes...but for me, recent RPGs have all been a sore disappointment due to lackluster storyline or extreme repetitiveness. Or...just a complete absence of character development, which ends up making me feel like I'm just controlling a bunch of empty shells who mean as much to me as the guy in the game Kung-Fu. I'll read what people say and maybe try it out.

Man I'm finding it hard to have fun with Golden Sun. There's too much talking. Like I get it's an RPG or whatever, but sometimes when they're able to just stop and let me get on, they talk about something else, and it's annoying.

Well 90% of the dialog in Golden Sun Dark Dawn doesn't have to be read to help you get further in the game, so thats why you just smash your 'A' button until there is no more talking

EDIT: I also want add my enjoyment of Super Scribblenaughts. It really impressed me. Aso Tales Of Innocence should deserve an honourable mention with the release of the english patch.

I have to admit I'm a bit surprised Lufia got nearly no votes at all. Is the problem that so much more name worthy things are in there, or the fact pissed off fanboys hate it's not an RPG anymore but an action rpg if I remember right.

only ds game i've ever finished.

game has great graphics, a capable engine, decent story w/voiceover, variety of gameplay, and online multiplayer. only downside is its length.
