I've got to fix this ASAP please! I *LOVE* this feature!!!

I lost my "return to channel" option and get booted back into the Wii menu. I HATE THAT. arrrgghhhh.

What I did was made an additional drive with a FAT32 partition on it (still using SD card and all, just has games on the new HD) but in order to use it I had to load cIOS249 rev 19+ so I loaded it into 57 because that was what the community seemed to recommend (here and wiihacks). So everything was working well on the FAT32 drive and when I changed back to the WBFS drive again, as soon as WiiFlow would boot up (I'd get the splash screen after clicking the forwarder and the "please wait") then BAM, screen dump. This was happening over and over so the only thing I did was delete my wiiflow.ini file and then everything worked again BUT I no longer have my "return to channel" option. So I checked out my old .ini file and see if I could find the option in there and maybe add it to the new .ini file.

EDIT to say that I kept looking and see that i think I've narrowed down my problem - I think it's the return to: (insert 4 letter channel id here) and I tried using my old one that was WFBJ and it still doesn't work. Do I need to reinstall that old forwarder or maybe a new forwarder and change it to that 4 letter word like maybe the new orchid one and use WBJF and try that?

THANKS SO MUCH IN ADVANCE!!!

eh....well , do you know that there are settings in wiiflow ?
clik on the settings icon , then on the third or fourth page , here is that "return to" option....
Set it to whatever you want , no need to edit the .ini

PS : return to WFBJ (which is my forwarder) works great here , but not with every game (same goes for everything you set at return to).

Metroid Prime Trilogy issue again:
If I launch any of the alternate dol's and quit the game, WiiFlow hangs when I try to launch it again. If I shut down the Wii, then I can launch that dol again.
However, I have only been able to launch game's Main Menu a few times and the rest have been freezes.
I have a similar issue.
Using RC1 as soon as I select one of the games I get a green top half of screen and reset.
I was using 249 v19 57 so I tried 249 v20 57 with no luck.
Also tried starting with other dols but no luck. Tried with alternate IOS's 250 (20b) and 222-224 and these usually hung the system.
4.2E hacked by MMM process, on FAT32/NTFS WD 1TB drive.
Any help appreciated. Should I just use ModMii and do a recommended cIOS update?

Aside from this, I'm loving the new RC over the Beta, as unlike themanuel, I had intermittent startup reset problems with WF beta previously, which the RC seems to have fixed.

of course I do but that option is missing now - that's what I'm saying! It's not in my 7 pages of settings anymore - that's why I went into the wiflow.ini to investigate. I'm using version 2.1 r117 which was updated to that version online via the ? and I've had that version for a while and it's worked all fine up until yesterday with that option. Here are the steps I took yesterday when it stopped working:

Installed cIOS249 rev 19 for FAT32 support-got that wad from wiihacks staff so assume it's a good wad
Changed my theme to the Christmas theme
Turned off Wii then back on 2 minutes later to use WBFS partition, thats when WiiFlow kept crashing and
I deleted my .ini file to see if that would fix the crashing

That's when I went back into the options to make sure the return to channel was still pointing to WiiFlow and that's when I noticed it was missing.

Options don't go missing by themselves, and they don't play hide and seek. Is it possible that you installed a full channel with an older wiiflow revision? Try launching wiiflow through the HBC, and check it then.

Using a fresh install of 304(249 rev 20 base 57) when i switch between themes the wii sometimes freezes up and i have to do a hard reset on the wii itself but after turning it back on it loads up the theme it was supposed to switch to but didn't because of the freeze.

It doesn't do it 100% of the time though.

It also frooze up when going from the channels menu back to the hard drive menu.

Options don't go missing by themselves - ha ha - that cracked me up!! Apparently they do hide though!! Check this out -

Here's the result of what you suggested (I didn't change any forwarder - it was the same one I had from before) - when I go through HBC, WiiFlow runs just as before booting back to WiiFlow when I hit the home button!! Yay! So does that mean my forwarder doesn't work anymore?

Another weird thing happened - I'm using the Christmas theme btw and when I go to the settings menu the option is still not there (the return to channel) AND page 5 of 7 and 7 of 7 are viewed as the default theme - not the Christmas theme. So it really is hiding
unsure.gif

So do you think that I should download the 2.2 version and the corresponding forwarder for whatever theme I use and start from scratch?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Things become clearer now....

We have already stated to make a FRESH INSTALL when jumping through so many revs (going from r117 to r304 in your case).
It means deleting everything related to wiiflow on your SD card (make a backup of your boxcovers folder , so you don't have to download them again).
Just put the boot.dol you want in apps/wiiflow , and run wiiflow , all the needed folders and .inis will be created.

That's it.

PS : no need to delete the forwarder , i made it (carbonik WFBJ) 1 year ago and it's still the same , and it still works as it should.

Thanks again for your reply - I did see the notes to do a fresh install when updating to 2.2 but just to clear things up - I am still on 2.1 r117. None of this happened due to any WiiFlow update. When I installed the cIOS to use the FAT32 that's when things went south. My WiiFlow kept doing screen dumps when starting up and that's why I deleted my .ini file (because I knew that it would recreate itself and start over). I deleted the .ini file in hopes of getting WiiFlow working again without dumping on startup. After I deleted the .ini WiiFlow worked again but the option to "return to channel" was no longer in my settings and my WiiFlow was going back to the Wii Menu when I pressed the home key. That's what prompted my message saying I wanted to change the .ini to add the 4 letter code after the "return to channel" (because it was no longer there in the .ini). Also-the settings menu pages 5 & 7 show the default screen rather than the Christmas theme I'm using. So once I changed the ini to add the 4 letter code, my Wiiflow booted back to WiiFlow instead of the WiiMenu but it still does not show in the settings menu - that option is completely missing.

So I now have everything working back as it was functionally. The settings menu doesn't show the option to return to channel and the pages 5 & 7 of the Christmas theme show the default theme.

I only mentioned updating to see if it would fix my settings "issues" mentioned above. I wanted to respond back to this note to let you know that it wasn't user error (aka ME) or WiiFlow - it was about how WiiFlow was affected after I installed the wad and to let you know what happened. I don't want you to think I'm an idiot or I left out info while asking for help. I really appreciate the help and I could have easily used another program but I really, really love WiiFlow so thank you for all you do!!!

Try with the default theme.

The christmas theme (and all the themes included in the latest package) are not compatible with old revs of wiiflow , that's why you get those problems.

how do I set up a flash drive to work with wiiflow?

In the same way you would setup a HDD, but it all depends on the compatibility off the flashdrive, if you need help come to IRC and someone will help you

R304 is compiled with a libogc version that contains a bug!!! This could also be the cause of youre problem.

When using more then 1 wiimote, wiiflow often crashes!
This was also mentioned in the cfg loader thread.

tueidj said:
Never mind, I see what the problem is (wiiuse_init_cmd_queue() is using the same buffer for every wiimote...)

This is a very annoying bug (not in wiiflow!!). I corrected the problem by compiling the Wiiflow R304 sources with the latest libogc.
You also have to compile the libogc your self!

Maybe the developers should release a new beta release without this bug!
If you have young kids it is nearly impossible to prevent, that at startup, they only need to use 1 wiimote!!

Hi,

With the 2.2rc1 (304) release i can't seem to get Hawx2 to work, it just ends up in a black screen.

Tried ios 248/249/250 cios rev20b, base 57,58 and 37.
I't used to work with the 2.1 release with IOS248[56]v20 and still works with cfg-usb-loader.

Any suggestions?

I think this is the cause of the above pic is from "Just Dance" game. Every time click play on the game, it crush. I even go to game setting and just test it out. when i click main.dol left or right arrow, it crush. Does this mean the game is corrupted when change from iso to wbfs using wii backup manager?
Also, when i look in the wbfs folder i saw gameid.wbf1
Can it be the game be fix?

Has anyone tried running the NTSC version of Karaoke Revolution: Glee using the newest Wiiflow revision 304? I started with a clean slate and am using IOS249 rev20b base 56 to boot Wiiflow and IOS250 rev20b base 57 to boot the game. It just crashes Wiiflow and a code dump occurs. I also tried booting the game just using the default IOS249 base 56 but it does the same code dump/crash. I can run other games using that same combination of IOS's. The previous public beta booted this game fine.
I compiled the latest Wiiflow r304 with the latest libogc (compiled myself), and now the game does not crash anymore.
