Gaming black ops wii patch....wut?

OK, so you gotta have a shop channel account, does it mean that the channel must be up to date or you only have to register an account?

Does any of you downloaded the patch without an updated shop channel?

I'm still on 4.2E so I propably don't have latest shop channel and no message about downloading anything

umm i downloaded modmii so how do i download SC20 and IOS56 i cant find em on bootmii? : o

I have wii 4.1E
any help here? cant find SC56 on modmii 4.3.5 i only find SH Shopping U/E/J

and i find IOS56v 5662

what is SC20? Is that a typo?

IOS56 can be downloaded from download page 1
cIOS249v20[56] can be downloaded from download page 2

if you are trying to hack your wii, run the ModMii Wizard, and it will download the above files as well as anything else you may need. It will also build you a custom guide to follow.

edit: the shopping channel can be downloaded from download page 1

Booted the game got this screen

so went to shop channel agreed to T&C returned to game and

damn thats a lot of blocks wasted

all u need is to install the latest IOS56 and the latest shop channel (both available via modmii and many other tools) in order to access the shop channel

that's all I can tell u. I'm not sure how the online game update works... I'm not sure if u need a shop account, or if it needs points, or what. I'm assuming once u have the shop channel working, the rest should be self-explanatory.

Got 3.2U latest shop channel around 2009, got the patch, check if you got the game in one region and the wii on another

once shop is up and running you just boot the game and enter multiplayer when you try to connect the above screens will pop up I only got the first screen because I've never booted shop on this nand before. the update is free

crap...

updated shop channel but still no update message in game.
I can still play like normal though lol

I'm pretty sure that I don't get the patch because I'm using a NTSC game on a PAL wii.
if I get the PAL version of the game,can I still use my NTSC savegames with it?

any chance that this patch could be somehow tranferred over to .wad for us to install with wad manager?

how on earth did u ever mod your wii in the first place if u don't know how to install wads??

Anyways, read carefully...
start ModMii, launch the ModMii wizard, tell it that your wii is not a virgin, enter in all the rest of the information truthfully. Say no to download everything except for the shopping channel, say yes to that one. Let modmii download the files and build u a guide. Follow the guide, it will spell out how to install the shopping channel wad and the IOS56 wad that ModMii would've just finished downloading. Hopefully u will learn a thing or 2 during the whole process

i learned to mod my wii with step by step help tips on other good forum =) but i never used bootmii

u never used bootmii? Scratch my last recommendation to u, I think u should tell ModMii that your Wii is a virgin even though its not. Then it will take you through the entire softmod process from the beginning to make sure u didn't miss anything important (like brick protection via bootmii, nand dump and priiloader). The entire softmod process is actually very short and easy. So yea, tell modmii your wii is a virgin even though its not, and also tell it to install the shopping channel. Then let it download and follow the guide

I think it also gets rid of ocarina, i tried to put the offline zombie cheat codes after this patch to try and they didnt work.

If they got rid of ocarina usage in the game then this is an instant win for treyarch
