my two cards :

A) 1A920587 – 010207DA
B) 5E506610 – 1D0107DA

have the red PCB ( I can see the colour in the rear side , near the connector - I can read also two numbers in correspondence of the 9th and 11th pin - respectively 4 and 2 if you start to count from left ) , but I can't upgrade.

Some work and other dont, you need to try!

upgraded her DSi to Version 1.4.1E -then brought the unit to me to say 'look, it's not working anymore' !!

When you say 'you need a DSi in 1.4 or DS/DSLite to do the upgrade!' - I have a DSLite - and when I put the TTDS card into that, with your TTi141UPGRADE.nds & rom_pcb2.dat (I have a red PCB card, no writing on the back) - it works fine. Do these two files replace files that are already on the card? I currently have on there:-

DSi GAMES (folder)
TTMenu (folder)
TTMENU.dat
TTMENU.sys
TTi141UPGRADE.nds
rom_pcb2.dat

However when I put the same card into the DSi - i get the black screen appear telling me to restart - therefore I think I'm mis-understanding what you're suggesting - what exactly do I need to do to get the card working on the DSi ? I'm struggling to fathom the method I need to use to get from where I am now, to a working card in the DSi?

I'm a newbie, as you can see, so please go easily on me!! My daughter does have a habit of losing original cartridges - probably 5 to date - and the TTDS is a god-send..please help!

My best advice is see if it still works in the ds lite and try it again.

Or if you want something very easy to fix, get the supercard DSOnei.
Why? it has high compatibility AND if you update, it uses a USB firmware writer so you only need a pc to update your card. Neat huh?
I suggest getting it her for christmas and you keeping/selling the TTDS.

My best advice is see if it still works in the ds lite and try it again.

Hi - if I buy the Supercard DSOnei - will it work 'out of the box' and get me where I need to be? ie working in the Dsi 1.4.1E - or will I have to apply the fixes/patches/upgrades to get there - which is kind of where I am now? cheers

You need only, the TTMENU Folder and the TTMENU.DAT from the officiel 1.17 kernel + My pack with the 3 files!!!

And after that, it will work on any DSi and DSi XL

Hi Bitonio - I have taken your files (4 in total - rom_pcb0, rom_pcb1, rom_pcb2, and TTi141UPGRADE.nds) - and then downloaded (what I think is the correct Kernel) TTMenu Kernel v1.17, 2009-01-06 from http://www.ndstt.com/download.html - extracted the files - and copied the TTMENU folder and TTMENU.DAT across to the card too; so I now have on the card:-

rom_pcb0
rom_pcb1
rom_pcb2
TTI141UPGRADE.nds
TTMenu (folder)
TTMENU.DAT

...but still....black screen error message "An error has occurred"...etc

I did read somewhere yesterday that I needed a Nintendo DS to run this Firmware update through before I could use it on the DSi - is that irrelevant to what I'm trying to do here? thanks

1/ You have an original DSTTi ?
2/ if you put all these files on a microSD = it's okay,
but if you believe your dstti will work directly with these files on a DSi 1.4.1 = you make a mistake!!!

When you have all these files on your microSD,
put the microSD inside the DSTTi you have and put the DSTTi inside à DS/DSLite/Dsi 1.3Max

1/ You have an original DSTTi ?
2/ if you put all these files on a microSD = it's okay,
but if you believe your dstti will work directly with these files on a DSi 1.4.1 = you make a mistake!!!

When you have all these files on your microSD,
put the microSD inside the DSTTi you have and put the DSTTi inside à DS/DSLite/Dsi 1.3Max

I have a heap of DSTTi with 240A5048 at the top and all are reported fake.

If these cards are not fake (I got them from the same supplier that all my orginal DSTT cards came from in the past) why doesn't DSTT team add support for this PCB? Are they still active or long since disbanded?
