"Just got the product and must say that I have never purchased a product at this price wth so many things to entertain me. I really don't see that I'll ever get tired of this game." Skittish, Los Angeles, CA. (Kmart Review)

"I also own original Solitaire Overload and have really enjoyed the 101 games it has, but it just can't stand up to this new version (Solitaire Overload Plus) that has so many additional games. Although I love to play all the solitaires, the addition of Mahjonng, Tangrams, and the picture puzzles adds variety and really expands the entertainment value exponentially. An extra 101 solitaire games is also a real PLUS. I cannot imagine that I will ever lose interest in this product." TheGriffer, New York City. (Walmart Review)

"This game contains so many thing to play that I'm not sure I'll ever be able to play them all. Every game is a full game and keeps calling you back to play more. Although it contains 707 different games, none are short-changed just so they can say they have alot of things. All games are complete and full of features. I thought they created a real entertainment bargain when they released Solitaire Overload with 101 games, but Solitaire Overload Plus is a whole new level. Get it." BingoBob, New Jersey. (GameStop Review)

  • All games designed with VUE TECHNOLOGY providing Virtually Unlimited Entertainment. Internal random occurrence algorithms are blended with loads of game content to create a product that could, conceivably, provide a lifetime of fresh challenges and entertainment.
  • iPhone- style menu manipulation and selection using your finger, stylus, or control pad. All games are played on the Touch Screen using your finger, stylus, or control pad.
  • Sort and select games based on different criteria for each game type.
  • Select your choice of background from 101 cool pictures and gradients.
  • Select your favorite card decks and tilesets to use.
  • Relaxing original sound tracks. Edit the playlist to hear only what you want to hear.
  • Automatically tracks your stats.
  • On-screen "How to play" instructions for different game types.
  • Save the game status, player statistics, and other options for later.

I'be been searching a lot, but there's no list of the 202 Patience games available right now.

The 101 games from original Solitaire Overload are great, but with this one, you can change the card design. And that's something I'm looking forward to.

The "iPhone- style menu" of original Solitaire Overload is so unique that Akaio softreset can't handle it, btw.

Because the possible games per Patience are limited.
You use cards, shuffel them and someday you'll get a layout that you've seen a few hundred years before...

If you're interested in the history of Patience games, you'll find a very sophisticated article by David Parlett here:
http://www.davidparlett.co.uk/histocs/patience.html

David Parlett wrote one of the most important Patience rule books of the 21st century - The Penguin Book of Patience.

No matter how many cards you have, the combinations will always be finite. any combination of anything will be finite.

There is truly nothing that is "unlimited play" when referring to doing something or seeing something you have never seen/done before.

Just in case that Solitaire Overload PLUS never gets dumped: There's a second option.

A very similar version is available in the DSiWare store (EU & USA). It's called 24/7 Solitaire and contains 24 different Patience games.

24 games are not 202 games, I know. But it's better than nothing now.

Like Solitaire Overload and Solitaire Olverload PLUS, '24/7 Solitaire' got some good reviews:

IGN 80%: http://uk.ds.ign.com/articles/110/1107202p1.html
NWR 75%: http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/review/24039

Yes! Clubhouse Games is brilliant! I alomost forgot about it, thanks for reminding me.

But: Clubhouse Games has only one game of Solitaire (Patience) called Klondike.

They call it simply Solitaire, but in fact it's Klondike.

Solitaire Overload Plus is going to have 202 different sorts of Solitaire (Patience) games!

I don't know....I've kind of given up expecting any particular USA dumps anymore. It seems most USA dump teams have quit bothering dumping games themselves anymore. The only USA releases we get now are mostly from random people who pass their dump to a release group. We'll probably see a Europe dump of this before we see a USA dump. At least European dump teams are still quite active. I can think of quite a few USA region games that have released to stores that should have been dumped already, but still aren't. This game is just one more game to add to the list.

That said, I like these kinds of Solitaire games on occasion, but I'm not really "hyped" for it. They're nice for a relaxing bit of gaming, but they're not "must have" caliber by any means.

Of course, what I call "must have" games differ immensely from what everyone else calls "must have" games. I know this. To me, games like Intellivision Lives was "must have", so I imagine many of my opinions are instantly discarded by most members as the archaic ramblings of an out-of-touch old fart.

If this had been earlier in the DS's lifespan I probably would've been more interested but I've already got a damn good solitaire game (the prequel was good enough on it's own), got mahjong, don't need another. And lets be honest, the original 101 games is a hell of a lot of solitaire for anyone. Sequels work well for some games, but I don't think solitaire is one of them.

There are some hardcore Patience players somewhere out there. Don't worry.

We have a big collection of Patience books, some classics (Parlett, Jones, Morehead) sell for a lot of money on eBay.

Patince is really a special game: It attracts some crazy people interested in Mathematics, Logic, Quantum mechanics and stuff like this.

You work with Patience games in university, of course (Probability theory, Decision theory, Set theory).

And Patience attracts some idiots that will buy that at Walmart from the table. Or at least let's hope so... lol.

Cards always had magic.

Free will against luck...

Somehow Patience is the very first videogame, isn't it?
Some rich people played it in France, England and Sweden some hundred years ago, bored of ther lifes and friends...
