Certainly an original graphical style. The house in the second pic makes me think of those doll houses little girls play with, the one that is basically just a cross section of a small house.

Oh sweet!
I've been waiting for this one. Honestly

From what I know of it (pre-playing) its a family sim, much like the Sims.
The title translates to "Millenium Family".

*EDIT*

Okay,played a bit.
You're not as involved in the family as in The Sims.
You're a guardian god, watching over a family. You have to make sure they live through multiple generations.
Its more of a watching game...you act only by telling your little Cupid assistant to shoot several types of arrows at the family members. You can also use certain items, but I haven't gotten any yet.
Arrows include stuff like:
"You can do it!" Arrows that boost the mood up, "Slow down!" arrows that calm overexcited people, "Dream" arrows that give your family members initiative towards their goal, "Love" arrows (duhhh), "Pleasure" arrows that cheer up, and more (I still have more to unlock).

Sum up, very cool game.
If anyone's played "Monster Guardians" (one of the first releases of GBA), its the same type of game...you watch more than you act,but that doesnt take away any of the fun

If only my flashcart had a RTC... this game would be on for a whole week

I'm really gonna have to learn japanese, we simply dont get games like these over here! I've heard about this, it sounds similar to "Little Computer People" on the Commodore 64.

Also sounds similar to Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures and Wonder Project J.

Yes, very similar

Pac-Man 2 : The New Adventures is a MUST play for any SNES fanatic (its VERY far from the original Pac-Man), and Wonder Project J is very good too.

Fans of these will like Sennen Kazoku.

Why won't it run properly? I turned on the realtime clock and the flash 128 save type, but it still won't work, I've tried with both VBA 1.7.2 and 1.8.0 Beta 2...

You could have read the other posts, then you would know what this game is about and which games are similar. Blebleman has said it all, just read his posts in here

Looks so nice from the review, unfortunately it looks a lot text-based, if only I were a little Japanese-fluent I would give it a try =/
Could you make a guide for the game, Blebleman?

I like those games a lot

It's not as bad as you think...anyone who's slithered his way into another Japanese game can understand this one.
The only catch is, that you wouldn't understand most of what's HAPPENING to your characters...

QUOTECould you make a guide for the game, Blebleman?

The game plays as follows...
You see your family in their house, and you watch them walk around,do mundane things, and think normal thoughts.Once in a while, events happen (dad loses his job, kid falls in love,y'know, that kind of stuff). You can influence what happens to your family by using the Cupid Arrows on them. A "Go for it!" arrow will give the aimed character incredible mood and attitude. I've described other arrows above....

Give it a try. If you need translations for menus, but really like the game, I might consider making a guide for it.

Btw, families are automatically generated, and have modifiers depending on the "start time" (which is the time you input the first time you play)...
Families from the post-WW2 period have more children, and present-time have an average amount, and out of two families I made, I got two frustrated salaryman dads
