I went ahead and did it with the guide.I played a little metroid other m and the game froze again.Think it could just be the game?sleep mode on hdd is off so i dunno what it is.

It could be a bad rip of the game, but I doubt it since u say u've had 2 different games freeze on you, perhaps try a third game and see if it also freezes.
If u installed the cIOSs successfully, then I highly doubt its the cIOSs.
This problem your describing is really typical of a sleep timer or HDD compatability issue. Even though u say the sleep timer is off, I would try using a different hard drive and see if the problems go away. At least then we will be able to narrow down the problem to the external hard drive.

Metroid froze so i had to hold down power on wii and shut it down,endless ocean froze but i could press the home button to exit the game so ya might be bad games. I havnt had any probs with mario galaxy2 and the hdd im using is on the compatibility list quite a few times.WDBAAF0010HBK-NESN

Man, I'm so sorry I ever updated my Wii to 4.3... Now that I finally decided to softmod it, I discover I need a game I don't have...

as the saying goes, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
But u should be aware that the majority of apps are being updated to use IOS58 instead of cIOS202. So the latest versions of apps like WiiMC, vbagx, fceugx, etc. may not work properly for u. Eventually when u install a new HBC using IOS58 these problems should go away. But in the meantime if u experience errors, I would revert back to the older versions of those apps that still use cIOS202.

When there's a new homebrew channel released that fixes the problem, ModMii will be updated to support it. And when that happens, yes, u will be able to use ModMii to rehack ur wii and it will address your issue.

Just a short note to thank you profusely for all your help. My Wii is now successfully soft modded and my kids are now very happily playing their NTSC games on our PAL Wii all thanks to your kind guidance. Per your advice I installed Neogamma on the SD and it works great. When I load up an NTSC disk I get a momentary green screen and then it boots up fine. Loving it, you are a bloody legend.

loving your program. i enjoyed doing it all myself (doing the research, getting tools and installers from wiibrew, etc.), but ever since i started using sneek, your program has been amazing.
when i updated to uneek+di, modmii made my life a LOT easier. i'm definitely converted to using this exclusively for wii hacking.
i also have a question. i'm looking to update my uneek+di install, and i'm wondering if i have to wait for the auto installer to to be updated with pre-compiled files, or do you keep a repository yourself?
like, if i ran modmii right now and told it to build uneek+di for me, will it download r125 (the current one pre-compiled at crediar's page) or r127 (the latest build)? i'm currently on r121, so either case upgrades me, i'm just wondering what it is exactly that modmii downloads.

yes, it uses crediars precompiled files. When u use ModMii to build any version of SNEEK it will tell u what version was built, and it will even save a rev.txt file in your SNEEK folder indicating what rev u have built (making it easier to keep track of what rev u are currently using
)

can u tell me how much free space ModMii is telling u that u need to continue? Can you also tell me exactly how much free space you have on the drive.
I suspect its a batch file issue where it thinks 8000 is greater than 70000 (for example)... stupid windows cmd line!! It is able to compare numbers properly if they have the same number of digits, so I will have to add a check to first compare the number of digits before checking anything else.

hey guys. my wii is soft modded but i dont remember what i have on it and what i did to it. i know that it is on 3.3u. which option should i choose in the wizard? as a virgin wii or a pre modded wii? thing is i want to be able to play all the latest games and play them off of a usb hdd.
