Sorry if this has been answered already, I'm new to this and have spent hours searching with no luck. Why does running games through wiiflow not recognize save games that were created with the original disc? Every game I played with the original disc and then load with wiiflow, it wants to create a new save instead of recognizing the previous save. Is this proper behavior? Is there a way for it to recognize previous saves created from original discs?

Are you using the same region discs? I've only ever seen this if its from a different region even though its the same game

Savegames are written into folders with the 4 letter GAMEID in them to the NAND. So if you make sure the gameid is the same, it will be recognized. I'm guessing you downloaded some games, and they are from another region (NTSC/PAL). Otherwise, it should just work. It does for me.

Hey, love this loader.

Just a small, minor, teeny-weeny polka dot bikini complaint/feature request. Really small.

I was wondering if it would be possible, under options...hm. This is a little strange to explain, actually. So I'll do it like this.

1/3

2/3

3/3

When you push next...

1/3

When you push back...

3/3

It's so small, but I thought it would be kind of nice, especially when you have to change options around quite a bit from game to game.

Cheers~!

Hmm, that might be the problem. Looking at them, some are a different region, at least for the ones that I had played through the original disc. Is it possible to get the game to recognize the saves? And even though you force a specific region, it still won't recognize it?

Either use WiiFlow to backup the original disk, or download a backup of the same region you have already played.

It also happens if you rip the disc and you have a modchip installed with region free enabled (assuming you are on an older SM).

You can use SaveGame Manager GX to extract the savegame, rename the folder to the correct GAME ID, and then install it again. But I wouldn't recommend it, and it's not guaranteed to work.

Actually, I agree on this. I'm not sure this will be in the next release, but please make an issue on the google page for this (enhancement request!).

Wiiflow , with flow like coverflow.
What would be the point to have a list as usbloader GX.....
You want a list , use usbloader GX !!

The coverflow is the whole point of this loader.

I switched from GX to Wiiflow because GX is no longer developed.

I tried to download cheatfiles from Wiiflow 2.1 r92 but as soon as I press the download button the Wii freeze and I have to turn it off by holding the power button on the Wii. Is this a bug? I downloaded the cheat file manually and then in wiiflow I could generate the gct file and use the cheat in the game without problems so it is only the download that didn\t work. I realize that there are many newer revs but I read several times that this threads are only for bug reports for the "official" r92. I haven't tried a newer rev to see if it works.

QUOTE(xabby666 @ Sep 14 2010, 11:38 AM) I confirm the freeze with cheats download also in the last beta release with wiiflow compiled on 224 base 57.

Does this still happen? We had this problem because geckocodes was offline. And it didn't freeze, it just paused for like 3 minutes
biggrin.gif

Can you please try this again and confirm that this is still an issue, even though geckocodes.org is online again? I just tried this, and got the codes almost instant.

Ps. I can't try now, but the missing Fat_Mount() function call before you call _CheatSettings() function in menu_config_game.cpp can be a problem?

Code:
Fat_Mount();
_hideGameSettings();
_CheatSettings();
_showGameSettings();

vs

Code:
_hideGameSettings();
_CheatSettings();
_showGameSettings();

You can get r181 when you come to IRC, if you would have read the entire tipic, you would have known this as it has been said lots of times before...

If you want to know stuff you should read the topic, knowledge is power!

non-releases will only be available on IRC, that will not change

right Mr. knowledgeable, could you answer my question about ghostbusters?

Check if the wiki has special info about the game in problematic games section, If no special info is there, it could be a bad dump...
I havent read anything about freeze issues with this game, so a bad dump is most likely the issue
