Wow this game is really fun

it reminds me of Kurukuru Kururin

we need more innovative games like this. Simple and addictive games, yet not a puzzle game.

Puzzle games are great as long as they can hold your attention. I sincerely hope this game holds my attention, if not, it deserves a spanking with the boring-cane.

Oh, and by the way, please give me back my RSS news feed

Oh noes!!11 My L button on my GBA is being wonky! I want to play this game, but I have to press harder on the L trigger for it to register! The R button registers with the click, but the L needs more than the click. I know the inside of a GBA pretty well, so if anyone can help me and guess what I could do to fix this, that would be great! I tried cleaning out dust and fibers out of the L and R area (front and back) but that seems unrelated to the button sensitivity. This has happened before, and then the button was fine for a while. Now it's doing it again!

Dissapointing, been wanting this game for ages. Its great that nintendo dont use horrible 3D spitres (like in Mario Vs DK) and it's great that they've got rid of Rares DK look but the game is just the same thing over and over.

Erm... DK in this game is based on the design from Rare... aside from the inclusion of many other DK characters (virtually all designed by Rare) and music from DKC, the fact that the DK in this wears a tie, has those big shoulders/arms and the little quiff on his head and other noticeable features of the Rare design, kinda lead to the conclusion that it is Rare DK design and not Nintendos old skool one.

*Sigh* Anyway it looks like Nintendo mixed some good garbage data in with the game... 128mbit seems kinda large for the game, especially when the rom itself compresses down to just over 2MB. Truncating and stripping it down causes it not to work so I'm guessing Nintendo mixed the garbage data in with the rom as opposed to sitting at the end... if anyone makes a nice patch to get it down to the right size then let us know!

well to fix your problem, the reason must be b/c of the intro. mines is only near 16mb and compresses to 3.09mb zip file

L& R buttons are not essential as you can also use left and right on the d-pad, but the shoulder buttons do make it a lot easier.

Apparently it's a ROM/emu problem. People using flashcarts have had no trouble with it.

This game is pretty fun. I just wish they would have made the swing mechanics a lot better(since swinging is the whole game, it sucks that when I grab with both hands DK will suddenly face the complete opposite direction, and 1/4 the time when I'm swinging around It'll start my next swing from crazy positions[extra annoying for those switches you have to keep pressing to move ahead]).

As for the enemies, they're really no problem. Use your A button powerup, and they'll die if you touch them. Or if you're out of bananas, you could always use your attack on them(jump at them).

This game is something that would have made a good mini-game, but is not necessarily fleshed out enough to be a good full game. This idea isn't as well produced as Mario vs DK, and there is only so much variety this format provides.

In the end, I find the game lacks in the fun factor. Initially interesting, once you master the controls and play the games you'll find that the game itself isn't fun enough to warrant the tedium that is climbing to the top of every level hand by hand.

Of course this is my opinion, but I think people looking for a good game to play in short spurts may like this game, otherwise find yourself another puzzle game, or just grab Mario vs DK.
