For the most part SNES9xGX works flawlessly but it seems there is a problem with 3 of all the games i tried. They are Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, and Seiken Densetsu 3. I'm running 4.2.4 of SNES9xGX. I toke some pictures to show the problem.

This is what Secret of Mana and Seiken Densetsu 3 do. Also does it for text boxes for Seiken Densetsu 3 but other wise they both play fine.

Now Chrono Trigger's picture gets squished when ever I'm in a town or dungeon but the world map...

Is perfect.

Any help getting this fixed or is it a known problem?

Ultra Edit:

Checked my Chrono Trigger and it worked fine, checked Secret of Mana and it was doing what you describe, the fix was to hit the home button go to game settings then video then change rendering to original.

Hope that helps a little lol

One problem is if you enjoy filtering (and who doesn't?) you will need to turn it back on for your other games as its not a setting that is stored per game

Maybe it will be fixed in an update (the original issue not that each game needs its own settings)

Thanks for the fast reply, turning off all filtering did fix Secret of Mana. When I get some time ill try a different dump of Chrono Trigger.

Just tired another dump and same issue with Chrono Trigger. Not a huge deal but being it's the best game ever made i'd like to get it to work.

All are working fine for me.... instead of touching the filtering maybe you could change the display settings instead. Dunno what it's called off the top of me head but in Video settings the bottom one that says 'Auto (recommended)', well I recommend you fiddle with this lol - I see you've got a nice telly, you have component cables for your wii? Change this setting to 480p and see if it helps.

Can you save settings for individual games, I don't think you can but can't remember and I won't get near a Wii for ages to check. Every game I every load runs perfect so settings is a one time deal for me and not something I really go back to.

If not I might add that as a features request (if it's not their yet) on googlecode. Then if certain games need certain settings, perhaps the settings file can have they values already preset.

Ok, I've fixed this bug for the next version. For now, just turn off hq2x for this game.

Is hq2x running well enough to be playable these days?! Damn, must get the missus off the telly and check lol..... I've tried hq2x a few times and the framerate's not quite up to speed yet - great news if it is now!!

My copy of Chrono Trigger works fine

I believe most versions of this game have a file date of 6/28/1996 and mine is slightly older

So that might be the issue there.... a different version or dump of the game.
