How safe is http://www.dealextreme.com
I want to get a couple of things from there so I was wondering how safe they are?

They're safe, but take forever to ship, as a lot of members will probably soon tell you. Cheap prices = Cheap merchandise however. I bought a 120 GB Xbox 360 HDD from them, and it just died after 2 months or so. It was pre-owned though, so that adds into it.

All-in-all, they are good, and a lot of products are good quality, but some are bad, so look at reviews on the site for whatever you plan on ordering.

very safe. i got my r4 and wii component cables from them as well ps2 memory cards. thyre cheap but can sometimes take awhile to ship

Where are they based, like shoptemp is based in Hong-Kong, so where is DX based?

I think they're based in Hong Kong, but someone has to double check me on that. In my experience, DX usually ships within 5 days or less and I live in Australia just like you (don't know which side you live in though).

Yeah, they're located in Hong-Kong.

I'm assuming it ships fast to Australia because it's closer to Hong-Kong than the US, which is what I said takes forever to ship to. It's like 2 weeks shipping time for the US...Which sucks...

Shipping times are really unpredictable - I've had stuff shipped the day after I ordered it and with me within about 4 days, other stuff has taken ages even to be packaged and sent out and by the time I've got it I'd forgotten that I'd ordered it.

I wonder how long it takes to Bosnia but meh I moved back to Australia now, it will probably be the same.

I ordered a TTi and well I think it took 1-2 weeks came on Thursday - Friday.

very safe

they actually reply to any kind of customer support you need

and unlike many places you dnt have problems with like tracking numbers etc

only "problem" is shipping time, but then again its free (its kind of unpredictable but the average is around a week)

Extremely satisfied with dealextreme! The only bad thing is the shipping times.. sometimes stuff gets here in a few days.. sometimes weeks..
