Any one care to share how to use WIT and command line
Have you ever read the docu or followed some links of me?
http://wit.wiimm.de/info/command-line.html

It doesnt say where the downloaded files need to be placed
Oh yes, that's a missing point for windows. I have a special bin folder at c:\bin where I drop all smart exe and batch files. This folder is part of the environment variable PATH.

An other way is to drop all files in a working directory.

I think I discovered what was causing the freezing issues, Samus ice beam, hahahah...no.
Stupid joke.

The problem to me was the starpatch update blocker. I turned off that thing just for the case and the freezing stoped. Than, yesterday turned on to play NSMB and the freezing issues came back.

Hope it helps, and sorry for the bad english, I'm brazilian >.>

To all who are still having problems - you still don't have the IND rip. I was in the same boat, but after 6 or so separate downloads, I found the IND version. Then, quit being a stinker and manually remove the update partition in WiiScrubber. That should do it.

The Baby's Cry scene worked perfecty but on my Wii it crashes at the scene where Samus approaches a rumbling bush, after that the game sort of freezes. It switches to first person view because you're supposed to scan the bush but I simply can't. I can still move the cursus but I can't turn around, let alone shoot, walk or switch back to 3rd person view.

OS 4.1E, cios rev20, USB Loader GX.

Anyone else experienced this?

1. No, but freezes after entering the second door after the Rumbling Bush scene (with the white rabbit like thing).
2. WBFS
3. cIOS56rev20 & cios37rev20 / cios38rev17 / cios38rev14
4. USB Loader GX rev 935
5. Metroid.Other.M.USA.REAL.PROPER.REPACK.WII-BiOSHOCK
6. No
7. Game works fine after cutscene.

Steps I follow that makes the game freeze:

-Rumbling Bush cutscene
-Enter the door
-Kill all flying monsters and their hives
-Go up the hole on the left
-Make the 2nd door visible with the station
-Enter the 2nd door (with all the spiky monsters inside)

Game freezes, but still see the game going, Samus keeps running forward to the end of the hallway and keeps running against the wall. Controller doesn't work and the spiky monsters kill me. After being killed the controller still frozen and have to power off the Wii by holding the power button.

EDIT: with rev14 and rev17 I am still able to move, but I get the "Now Loading" message in the lower right corner, also mobs in the hallway dont respawn and cant pause the game. When pressing home button the Wii freezes.

Anyone else experienced this problem?

Got the game working!

1. Did it freeze for you at the Baby's Cry Cutscene? If it freezed on other cutscene, please describe it here.
2. Which filesystem did you use? Or did you use a disc?
3. Which cIOS did you try? Please only post the cIOS your loader actually used. There's no point in writing about Hermes and Waninkoko in CFG for example, if you have both installed, but don't tell CFG correctly to use the one or the other.
4. Which loader did you use? Which revision?
5. Which release did you use?
6. Did you remove the update partition manually? If yes, how?
7. Please describe the issue: Does it with the picture on screen? Black screen? "An error occurred"?

1. NO, GAME WORKS FINE
2. WBFS
3. cIOS56rev20 @ 249
4. USB Loader GX rev 935
5. Metroid.Other.M.USA.REAL.PROPER.REPACK.WII-BiOSHOCK
6. No
7. Game works fine.

What did I do?

-WiiScrubber
-Open bs-met.iso
-Rightclick Partition 0 ===>> Delete Partition
-WBFS Manager 3.0.1 ===>> Options >> Advanced >> Partitions to keep: Only Game Partition
-Add to Drive

I did not scrub the image with the scrub option

1. It freezes during the beginning tutorial after you are instructed to stand in the middle of the room
2. wbfs
3. Waninkoko cios rev19 on 249
4. USB Loader GX, I forget the version, probably a few months old
5. WiiSOS
6. No
7. You are instructed in the tutorial to stand in the middle of the room and one of the blocks lights up for you stand on it. Once you stand on it, the game freezes. Background ambient sounds continue, no beep or anything.

Gotten the same freeze twice.

Switched to the WD release and still having the exact same problem. My release definitely isn't the issue, others are doing fine with the same releases I have.

I'm not sure if people are still experiencing the cut scene problem or not, but there is a easy way around it. Just download a save with the game beat. then start a new game, and press Minus to skip cut screens. you can only do this after beating the game thats why you need the save. I never had the problem myself, but just figured out how to skip the movies today.

You're running cIOS rev14, aren't you? Install cIOS rev20 with base 56, then update Wiiflow to the latest version.

The same place you found the Wiitard release. Also, remove the torrent site from your post.

Dude, it's not there. And irritatingly, it's also the only (claimed) USA-NTSC release. The rest are PAL.

Dude, I don't know where you're looking, I'm able to find NTSC copies EVERYWHERE.. Legit ones too.
and by "legit" i mean Virus free.

I suggest you look a bit harder.

I would give you a few links, but its against site policy.

I suspect I might be an idiot, but I'm now on my third different ISO and still can't get this stupid game to work (Update: Maybe). Indeed, I hope I'm just an idiot because I'm getting really sick of this.

Attempt #1: The WiiTard release. The file description was misleading and the comments claimed it was working, so I just hoped it was a good dump. It wasn't.

Attempt #2: The IND release, and it worked just fine... until about 6.5 hours in, when a particular scene (we all know which one) kept freezing regardless of what settings I used. I had used WiiBackupManager v0.3.5-beta1 to convert/transfer it. Since it had appeared to have been working, I deleted the original ISO (since I'm low on hard drive space).

Attempt #3: The TMD-J release. I had been led to believe that it would be easy to edit the game to accept NTSC-U saves, and I wanted to play the game with the slightly less terrible Japanese voice acting. No matter what I do, though, it keeps freezing during the white screen immediately before the title displays during the "Baby's Cry" sequence.

Here are the different things I've done in an attempt to get it working (Every step has been repeated in the most recent releases of both Wiiflow and Configurable USB Loader):

1) Replaced boot.bin and/or partition.bin with those of semi-working IND ISO with WiiScrubber- partition.bin seemed to corrupt the partition and only boot.bin didn't do anything, so I just gave up and decided to start my save over from scratch.

2) Created .wbfs file by drag-and-dropping .iso onto fbfs_file.exe (v2.9 as provided in this thread). I didn't want to fuss with the command line and it doesn't seem important.

3) Tried every different combination of settings and cIOSs I could think of

4) Updated IOS56, made sure all cIOSs were the most recent revisions, repeated step 3 (I mostly tested with 222 and 249)

5) Verified tmd-momj.iso with WIT. Both partitions verified as OK

6) Replaced "Baby's Cry" sequence with that from the IND release

7) Replaced scenes 36-43 (or whatever number the sequence that keeps freezing in the IND release is) with that of the TMD-J release

8) Current step- Transferred TMD-J release via WiiBackupManager with all MOM saves deleted... Update: seems to work!?!?

Every edit to the ISO was done on a fresh copy of it

Ugh, now I'm not sure if it is working because of the deleted saves or if WBM just moved the freeze point to later in the game again. I'll definitely hold on to the original .ISO this time.

Update Update: NTSC-J version also freezes at same spot as NTSC-U version when transferred via WBM. Next step is to delete update with WiiScrubber and create the .wbfs file with wbfs file 2.9, and then try again.

1. Did it freeze for you at the Baby's Cry Cutscene? If it freezed on other cutscene, please describe it here.

YES after the tutorial and at the end of Baby's Cry Cutscene video (just before the start of the playing when we see an aircraft)

NO (see below)

2. Which filesystem did you use? Or did you use a disc?
FAT32

3. Which cIOS did you try? Please only post the cIOS your loader actually used. There's no point in writing about Hermes and Waninkoko in CFG for example, if you have both installed, but don't tell CFG correctly to use the one or the other.

222 HERMES 5.1 or 249 WANINKO rev 20 (both tested)

4. Which loader did you use? Which revision?

WIIFLOW 2.1 R181

5. Which release did you use?

Don't know

6. Did you remove the update partition manually? If yes, how?

NO : I go the freeze
YES : It solved the freeze !

7. Please describe the issue: Does it with the picture on screen? Black screen? "An error occurred"?

Freeze after at the end of the video, only way to restart wii is power it off and on

So I solved this issue as I used WIISCRUBBER to remove update partition.
