Thanks, now I can download it for sure.

Are you playing it with a USB drive or DL disc?
If on a USB drive, how big it is?
The USA version is 7.44 GB on a WBFS formated drive.

I'm trying a lot.. but i still cannot find how to full undub, i can only undub in-game voices, dunno about CG videos.
If someone wants to research about this, do it.

At now, the only "way", is using the the JAP release.
I will try experiment with the jap release, using from USA release, only boot.bin and partition.bin.

The Japanese version is 7.48 GB on a WBFS formatted drive.
Why didn't Nintendo just put everything (all five menu/sub languages and both voice languages) on the USA version?
Probably licensing issues and whatnot.

Yes, there is a way. You can use the partition.bin from the NTSC-U into the NTSC-JAP, and the game access to the NTSC-U save instead the JAP one.

How about a project to remove all of Samus's voice files altogether, so she stays silent through the whole game? I think that'd be...interesting and...semi-desirable. >_>

If you want english voices why would you use the JAP version?

Both english and japanese voice acting are available in the j-import version.
The text can also be changed as well. This is one of those extremely rare j-import friendly games.
wtf.gif

What's odd with the USA version is that the actual japanese voice data is within the game data but with no known way to access it normally.
There could be an actual method to access it normally like maybe pressing a secret button combination, etc.

For now you can either download the japanese version or wait until someone undubs the USA version.

Wao Tyrantm I like this topic. It reminds me of the Tatsunoko vs. Capcom music hack you worked on with Tonitonichopchop a few months ago. Btw why don't you contact Tonitonichopchop to see if he can help you too.

Let me get this straight As I'm a little confused,

The japanese version of this game comes with both English and Japanese voice acting, and both english and japanese subtitles????

Man was I ripped off... I should've imported the game :S... if What I read is true.

Let me resume all about this:
- Metroid Other M NTSC and JAP are nearly the SAME game. In the disc, if you compare the files, ARE THE SAME.
The only files that are differents are boot.bin and partition.bin !
- I tried to replace boot.bin and partition.bin from the USA version to the JAP one, and the result was that the game was that the JAP game access to the NTSC save.
- In resume, is unknown how the game access to languages and blocks or allow the voice option. I think that the game access to JAP or USA with the game ID code, or something unknown, but is still a mystery.

Yes, but the problem is how to access to japanese audio in movies, because in-game speak, is easy to do.
Also i'm wondering if we can force japanese with a Ocarina code.
