Remember that the reviewer will only have a limited selection of games to test. Namely legitimate games the reviewer has access to. This isn't like reviewing a DS flashcart or anything like that.

I'm pretty sure this thing is going to suck.

it boots back-ups, it allows you to make back-ups, they have already tested it on a reported 150 games, online play is currently working, etc. its expensive, but it appears to be working. from what i read, its not sucking at all. my worries are what it will do to your ps3 by running in debug mode. probably nothing but no one has had one of these for the long term at this point. i'm also curious what bits of software the device installs. they say it doesn't void your warranty and i wonder if a reformat is enough to get rid of the trace of the files when sending in a ps3 for warranty claims. those are the things that will make this device suck, in my opinion.

In terms of the actual review. I'm sure you'll cover all the usual stuff like load times, rip times, compatibility, etc so I won't go into those.

What I'd like to see, is how an SSD drive peforms. Obviously this is a pretty expensive thing, but certainly comparing the performance of the SSD vs a 4800/5400/7200rpm drive would be interesting. Would there be a significant performance benefit to justify the cost?

I think it would be a good thing to try if possible, and add a unique element to your review.

Unfortunately the PS3 has a SATAI (1.5Gbps) and not a SATAII controller, it wouldn't take advantage of the speed of an SSD to the fullest ;_;

Wonderful!

Though it's always nice to read other reviews and stuff about things like this, I, for some reason, am always more curious as to what the 'Temp verdict would be.
