Hacking Gecko OS freezing

Hi,

I am trying to play NSMB and have wiikey v1.99.

I have a patched scrubbed version of NSMB if that matters.

I tried Disc Channel it fails even after installing IOS53 and IOS55. I have a Wiikey v1 and Wii 3.2U.

I tried Gecko OS(seemed like a popular choice) and it constantly freezes after applying Codes adn the 'loading title..' appears. The game does not start at all and GeckoOS doesn't load the game (I think its freezing).

What is wrong with Gecko OS in this case?

I have HBC installed with Boot2 as well. All latest versions. Any help would be appreciated.

are you loading from dvd? i had the exact same problem with NSMB

i tried the latest ULOADER 5.1 by hermes and it booted straight away no problems.

i am loading by dvd through geckoOS.

I heard Uloader is a soft mod so I'm gonna need a few IOS's.

did you just install uloader 5.1 using wad installer or wad manager and run it from the wii channels selection.

when it loads up it starts in usb mode, but it gives you the option to press 2 for dvd mode.

i have the Uloader 5.1 in apps on my sd card, so you can run it from the homebrew channel fine, but i installed the dvd forwarder wad so it forwards to the program from the wii menu.

i used to use gecko but it wouldnt load a few games so i found out about Uloader and it seems to play everything.

i just ran uloader and it said i was missing CIOS or something like that. It closed before i could take it down.

oh right ill assume ull have to update somethings then, i recently upgraded to 4.2 from 3.2 and installed all of the latest cios from the soft mod guide (not used my wii for like a year and half)

    One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.

    It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff

    Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
