I read in another thread that "the so called SM 1.0 WADs" are Nintendo signed, so they can't be fake, unless the maker of it has got the key Nintendo uses to sign stuff with.

Impossible to be fake, they were signed.

Exactly!

I'm glad I'm not the only one that sees that logic. No one's saying how it could possibly be fake if it's signed.

If someone did get the key Nintendo uses to sign stuff with, I doubt they'd just use it to sign a fake System Menu 1.0. That'd be dumb as hell.

I agree. Even though the person who told me it was fake is the most trustworthy person in the Wii scene I know, how can it be fake if its signed?

Is there an SM changer 1.12? I've seen 1.10, 1.11, and 1.13 now...

For those who are interested, I've been messing with these dev titles since Wednesday, and here's some info on them (not sure how much of this has been posted already).

SM changer disc v1.13 installs the following during a menu change: disc check, uninstaller, mii channel, IOS4 v3 (don't know why), IOS9 v516 (for Disc Chk and uninstaller), IOS31 v2576 (for Mii and EULA), EULA v2, SM IOS, and SM. It will run from USB if ISO is re-encrypted, but fails during install because the wads are RVT-key encrypted.

The channels: The disc check works fine. If you install the cIOS9 from CORP, it should be able to check DVD-Rs. The Menu Uninstaller...tested on SNEEK, and got a bricked wii. Not surprising. Both channels use IOS9.

The text-based NDEV menu also runs fine on retail consoles if you repack the wad. NDEV will load retail discs without issue (tested with Wii Sports and Pokemon Battle Rev). The NDEV SM uses IOS55.

Well, i recently got a SM changer disk with a RVT-R unit, which is an original RVT-R disk, the version number is .2

IMG_0074.jpg

This Menu changer installs SM 1.0, 2.2 and 3.0 (EUR, JPN, US)

When I didnt ruin my drive I used to dump RVT-R disks...

Gonna make a screenshot when installing the SM 1.0 if someone is interested in.

Why do I post this, is because as most of you know the SM .wads are on the disk, so SM 1.0 .wads can easily be taken off the disk.

I'm interested in the SM1.0 wad. Apparently the one leaked awhile back was fake. You have a Wii development kit?
