Do any of the USB Loaders load gamecube games? I'm currently using USB Loader GX..

I tried copying Star Wars Bounty Hunter to my WBFS drive (via the WBFS Manager 2.5) and it would not copy..

I'd like to put some GameCube games on my hard drive with all my Wii games.. Possible?

At the moment, there's no way to load gamecube games from a USB drive because once a gamecube game is launched, the Wii switches to Gamecube mode. Therefore, all Wii components are shut off, including USB ports.

That's not to say it will never be possible. Waninkoko has managed to launch gamecube games in Wii mode. It may be possible to load them from the HDD. We just need further development and it MAY be possible.

Yes! You can try to implement fat loading throught the gc mem card aka the sd gecko! Theres 16 gb sd cards and the sd gecko at http://www.modsupplier.com/catalog/index.php

if we'll use the SD Gecko and someone develops an app for that, we might as well create a SD loader for the GameCube itself.

wow that stores prices are sky high
what about a gecko could we that or this http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-26-49-fr-70-1yg.html
or maybe both ,as i dont know if homebrew could be loaded from that although i dont see why not,
couldnt we boot backups from a usb drive plugged inti an ext usb hdd from the memory card slot with one of those adapters and a gamecube homebrew program ,like if someone wrote a usb loader
or maybe use the geckp and load the GC backups through the lan ,i dont think the wii disables the wifi and or the ethernet port in GC mode, just the sd slot and usb ports right?

I don't know what's worse...having 10 topics all asking the same question (not using search whatsoever)...or having a thread bumped and acted upon as if everything is still the same as a year and a half ago.

Okay...lemme get something straight: if gamecube USB loaders were easy to write, they would have been written by now. There IS progress, but it's no as simple as just saying "i dont see why not" to make one appear.
1. gamecubes don't have USB ports. As such, the USB ports cannot be used. Of course this is an oversimplified explanation, but it is how it is.
2. sd gecko's can be used to load gamecube iso's from SD card, using sd-boot or swiss. The programs offer reasonable compatibility. And the price...there's a dealextreme link floating around that lets you have an sd gecko for as little as 5 bucks.
3. the wode, yes. a hardmod, and thus more expensive, but I doubt it's a ripoff because it costs more than an sd gecko.
4. swiss has some rumors around that it may eventually ...I repeat because it is important: it MAY EVENTUALLY...going to support the internal sd slot or even the usb gecko. Keep in mind that A. swiss is still beta, B. it is not on the wishlist of the original author and C. it isn't even confirmed that it is actually technically possible.

Gambia, The
Swiss is not going to support front sd loading, but usb gecko loading(with a PC connected) was announced long ago. But that won't load with usb 2.0 speeds, so even if it comes, i wouldn't expect much from it.

But there's a chance that audio streaming and DMA come to Swiss with the ide-exi(memory cardIDE adapter), at least emu_kidid said something about it once.

ok sorry guys, and i never said i thought that wode was a rip off,i said that the web site in the link had really high prices on everything not just wode,i have seen wode for 80$ and think its more than reasonably priced even at 90$or more ,also i did do much more research and found that swiss can not use the usb gecko but that it can use a GC memory card to ide hdd adapter to load from hdd ,and the sd gecko,i never implied that i was asking it to load from a wii usb port i said usb gecko or like device OR the lan ,i dont know if the wii turns off the lan adapter in GC mode like it does the sd and usb,but i was just saying that it could be another option ,a good one infact ,i think it does turn off the wifi but im not sure ,not sure about the eternet port though either, all im saying if there not turned off games COULD be loaded over wifi or ethernet, maybe even using a sd gecko as a buffer if needed,i think they may have left the the wifi and or the lan on just because the GC had a lan adapter and though only a few, some games did use it

I have an idea, to make everything possible, but I think it would mean serious hacking... If the homebrew team could make a GC loader, that kinda has a code that ENABLES the USB ports in gamecube mode (like changing usb=false to usb=true) it could be possible. The thing is when changing it, it means seriously changing the Wii. Now I'm concerned if you do this that the Wii may brick forever. If Nintendo has some tech that detects that the Wii is messed around, they could release an update, that may do some shit that, in Wii mode, It disables the usb port that is capable od reading the HDDs. Now I know what I say is a bunch of BS, but maybe, just maybe, someone could discover a point of vulnerability in GC mode that could use like the disc exploit. Just sayin'.

Creidar already did that when he wrote DIOS-MIOS (you can still find it, including the source code, if you look for it). The problem is that both Gamecube ARAM and USB 2.0 have to use the same memory region (MEM2) on the Wii and Creidar never found a way around that. So yes, there is a Gamecube USB loader (it works via SNEEK) for the Wii but only a handful of games work and even those few that do can't save and have major sound problems due to the lack of Gamecube ARAM support. The best bet is to get a SD Gecko and use the Swiss loader. Fortunately, the homebrew channel supports loading homebrew from a SD gecko (though the Wii hombrew apps/games/emulators themselves might not support it).
