That was a good review shaunj. It enlighted me cause I didn't know EFA was so good as you say in your review.
But on the other hand my list of flash cards to have got even more complicated

So if the only cons are software stuff and little trivial things like charging it the first time, then there really are no problems are there? So if I don't care about those things would it be better to get one than an EZFA?

Why did some people say the this cart wasn't DS compatible?
Check the "Early DS Flash Cart Compatiblilty List".........
Anyways, I think the Linker->Cart thing is pretty cool, up until now, I thought the EFA worked the same way the EZFA does.

Could somebody try some games (including PocketNES) in a Gameboy Player?

Not sure if it's just me, but the saves for every rom get wiped out everytime I use the 256mbit ver on the GBP.

One question I have about the cart is save types. Do you have to patch games to play them on this cart, or is there some, (I guess it's not possible for complete), compatiblity?

Oh wait, I have another question: Does the software automaticly trim the roms for you? That was kind of nice about the EZFA (256, red), which I have.

Dumping my own games isn't really THAT important to me, but it is fun I guess. If someone buys this cart and wants to dump games, just get a cord for the EZFA 256, or any other cart that needs to to plug a cord into the GBA and then the computer's USB port, and install the drivers for that cart. Wouldn't THAT work? I've ripped games that way so I don't know why it wouldn't work...

as far as i know the efa supports all save types through hardware so no patching of the roms is required
even the flash client dosent patch the roms because it's unneeded

You didn't find it

It's possible but not all games can be renamed. I don't know why it is like that, on my case few games have been stuck to roms own title name. Click second mouse button on rom name grid you want to rename and you can type a new name.

Yup no save patches are needed.

I'll add my tuppence endorsing this cart. No problems, no lost saves, no patching, auto trimming, cheap, easy to use client software. Just does what it says on the tin. And yeah, right click to change 'most' rom names in the boot menu.

Same goes for me

Also, have to add:

NDS compatible, you can play for a long time before having to charge your system (just as good as the power star), and it has the fastest write speeds.
