I tested 2 games with analog Pad, and they made the same mistake than Beta 1 : Axes are inverted, and always moving if using Classic Controller
frown.gif

Tested with FFVIII and Vagrant Story so far.
For the inverted axis, it can be corrected on the pad mapping, though the "always moving" can't. Use a Gamecube pad instead.
It's already reported.

I guess we will see another Mod soon

Jacobeian, if you have time, it would be great, thank you

(Or I'll try when I'll have some times, I hope it will use the same fix as beta1)
Or maybe a fix from Wiisx Team.

I don't know, but on WiiSX beta1 Jacobeian used the Analog code from Snes9X and it worked great
smile.gif

I didn't look at the sources yet, but I hope they didn't change the controller code, so we could put Tantric's code back again easily.

The other one is in the "user News" for the release info, while this one is correctly placed in Wii Emulation forum to discuss the emulator and help users.

Edit :
Sometime the memory card are not recognized and appear as "not formated".
The Pad configuration are always forgotten at WiiSX restart
frown.gif

The ABXY for OX/\[] are set by defaut for Gamecube pad, not classic controller, so it's annoying to set the config each time.

Edit 2 :
For the moment, all the games which have difficulties to work full speed with Beta2 are working fine over USB2.0 thanks to matguitarist Mod01 !
Thank you
smile.gif

The emulator is great in fact, it's only because they refuse to use IOS for USB2.0 which make it slower.
They are waiting for a proper USB2.0 driver using libOGC.

Final Fantasy 7-NTSC-ran in interp core, game runs slow but manages to get past the first battle. game pauses once and a while

Final Fantasy 8-NTSC-fmv intro runs a hell of a lot smoother now, still has short random pauses once and a while. in game i managed to get past the name entry screen although it froze on me on the second fmv, tested in dym core

Final Fantasy 9-NTSC-started up and screen dumped on the opening fmv in both cores

Final Fantasy Anthology-NTSC- both disc run perfect as far as speed goes, using dym core

Megaman X5-NTSC-in dym core actually gets past the first loading screen and into the game, seems to run at full speed

Parappa The Rapper-PAL-using both cores the game plays music yet no video appears

Persona 2:Etneral Punishment-NTSC-intro movies run a lot smoother, in game appears to run at full speed using dym core. froze after recieving letter

Persona 2:Innocent Sin-NTSC-J-Using dym core appears to run perfect, occasional pause once and a while though

Perona-NTSC-seems to run perfect on dym core, doesnt freeze on me anymore

Policenauts-NTSC-J-using dym core the intro appears to run a lot smoother, controls are still very messed up using a classic controller and the sound appears a little tinny

Rage Racer-PAL-on dyn core appears to run perfect, besides no music while racing

Ridge Racer Type 4-NTSC-using dym core it runs very good, only being let down by occasional slow down

Silent Hill-NTSC-In game runs too fast, occasionally pauses too in game play. Using dym core

Soul Blade-PAL-still runs slow using dym core but audio and graphics are perfect

Spiderman 2:Enter Electro-PAL-using dym core it still hangs on a red screen after the first loading screen

Star Ocean 2-NTSC-Still code dumps

Um Jammer Lammy-Videos are a lot smoother, but the video goes after the first loading screen, the audio plays out fine.using dym core

this emu really does benefit from the usb2 support, seems a shame the dev team left it out, i will look forward to beta 3 when a few bugs are ironed out

It works for me. You just need to play around with the BIOS. In a few tries, I was able to load the game. It works flawlessly, with minor sound problems, but is totally playable. There's is a bug with the Analog control scheme in the menus (the game detects the up button is pressed), so you'll have to use the Standard one, :/.

I tried a few games, here's what I got, I'm using the MOD 1 version, loading the games from my thumbdrive (all those using the classic controller using the Dynarec core):

Castlevania SOTN: Works flawlessly, got a bit of slowdown and the sound got a bit choppy on larger areas, but I turned the dithering option off and it got pratically perfect, really need to play this one again
Castlevania Chronicles: Background music is weird, apart from that it's totally playable
Intelligent Qube: Perfect
Strider 2: Perfect
Marvel Vs Capcom: Restarts constantly
Strider: Restarts constantly
Mortal Kombat Trilogy: Restarts constantly
Capcom vs SNK Pro: The 2nd controller is acting all weird, making it impossible to play Arcade Mode. I managed to enter the Vs Mode and realized the game would be perfect if not for that problem
Guilty Gear: The same problem regarding the 2nd controller, the game seems to run a it slow, though.
Mickey's Wild Adventure: Works perfectly, no background music, though (it might be CDDA)
R-Type Delta: Works, but slow
Darkstalkers 3: Works, the music is glitchy but it's totally playable

Both Street Fighter Collection 2 and Street Fighter Alpha 2 didn't worked

This emulator surprised me, I didn't expected to be that great, too bad most of the fighting games are not working, but mostly are due to small bugs, if those bugs get fixed someday, it'll be almost perfect.

Now I need to get a few more games to try it out, and dig out my GC controller to see if something changes..

Reet, after another go (this time with the BIOS lol) I can update, sticking to ones not previously mentioned!
PAL Wii
USB2 mod

Suikoden (PAL) - Oooh, almost perfect.... minimal pauses, some very minor sound glitches, perfect aside from that! However, played a fair bit and it hung after a while whilst in the rock town/tax collecting bit... music & game froze. Twice. Soft reset...
Wipeout XL (NTSC-U) - like previously mentioned first game, runs extremely well! No music of course, and on the select screen the 3D icons are spinning at 100mph lol, but perfect otherwise!
Jumping Flash! (NTSC-U) - Runs really well! (most surprising of the lot for me!) Occasional slowdown, longish pauses in transition between screens, but went through the first 2 levels no problems.
Tobal 2 (NTSC-J) - Restarts constantly at the select screen... get can up to the playable bit in adventure mode, then restarts again. Select screen also running slow at about 30fps
Pocket Fighter (NTSC-U) - Restarts constantly at the select screen
Street Fighter EX2 Plus (NTSC-U) - Restarts constantly at the select screen. 3D graphics during the intro running slow
Vandal Hearts (NTSC-U) - No problems until intro fmv finishes, then code dump
Ridge Racer Type 4 Bonus Disc (NTSC-U) - Slow in game, can drop below 20fps at times, up to 50fps others..... runs fine (some very small glitches) otherwise
Xenogears (NTSC-U) - Crashes on load up, hard reset

Well, I just plugged in my GC controller, and with a second controller attached, all those controller problems disppeared, which means that all those games who suffered from those problems (like Strider, MK Trilogy, MvsC and Guilty Gear, etc.) work properly now! (I should've tried that before) It just keeps getting better..

All it needs now is ntfs support, so I can throw all the isos I want in my hdd instead of trying to juggle them on my tiny thumbdrive.. Well, I guess we can't have everything
tongue.gif

Now, I have to get me some shmups and try them out..

I tried Suikoden 2 and it works well...in fact too well. The Music goes to fast at certain parts but otherwise plays well. FMV intro stutters though.

I also tried Xenogears. It loaded but I haven't gotten past the intro text but so far so good.

I'm very impressed with the emulator at this point. Can only get better from here.

i would if it wasn't a wikiYou are afraid of making a mistake ?
don't, someone else will correct it if needed.

It's not hard, and doesn't require an account.
- Click on the "edit" on the same line of the Letter you want to add a game
the game list is done like this :
Wiki Help==F== ? The letter
{{ABCNavi}} ? the navigation bar

{{WiiSXTblStart}} ? the first table line
{{ WiiSX | Final Fantasy VII | PAL | ??? | Issues | Works up until the first battle on Dynarec, Works through the battle on Interpreter. }}
{{ WiiSX | Final Fantasy VIII | PAL | ??? | Works | Works fine, very slight slowdown. }}

?
add a new game here if you don't want to make error, someone else will move it to the alphabetical order for you

|} ?
the ending table
on the "add the line here", put this :
{{ WiiSX | Game name | Region | Game ID | Works, Issues, Doesn't work (choose one) | Comment }}

For people who don't want to edit the wiki themselves, please give your test result on the forum the same way.
We need at least :
Game name, Your result (Works, Issues, Doesn't work), comment on what you did (FPS?, config ?)

Sometime it's hard to understand your results to decide if we need to put works or issues, and why people don't have the same result ? ex. for xenogears, maybe a bad dump
Please, explain well what you tried, test all configuration (alanog on/off, interpreter/dynarec, frameskip on/off, bios on/off, beta2 or Mod1 etc. etc.)
