I tried searching, but didn't really get a clear answer ... either that or I'm blind, but is there any way I can put my applications and wads on a USB Thumbdrive instead of the SD Card? My Brawl Textures and custom stuff has gotten incredibly large and I'm not keen on buying a larger SDHC.

Also, if I can't, I have an 8GB SDHC in my phone. I think I'm on 4.1U, will it work (when I searched up "SDHC" some people have said it's working, and others say no).

as far as apps and wads im pretty sure you can put them on your usb and just choose usb as your root device in hbc/wadmanager. I think all your brawl stuff has to be on the sd card though. somebody correct me if im wrong

How would I change the ROOT for HBC and WADMANAGER? Would I technically have the SD card with the apps and wads and also have a USB Thumbdrive also inserted and reinstall everything again? I think I tried that but when I clicked the channel it would just bring me back to the Wii Channel Screen.

for hbc, press 1 or 2 and select usb. for wad manager select usb when it asks what device to use. I think that your brawl files have to be in the private folder of your sd but you can move around your other stuff.

ya i used to have everything on my pc then have like cfgloader and other apps on my 8gb sandisk cruzer. all i would have to do is swap out the .wbfs files in the wbfs folder when i wanted to change games.

that was before i got a 500gb hdd

Yeah so my 8GB SDHC works, but only temporarily. I can get into HBC and it detects it the first time around, but when I go back to it, the apps won't show up and I have to remove and reinsert the SD. It also happens to the thumbdrive as well. I have an External Hard Drive attached, and when I try to load USB Loader GX from the Wii Channel with just the SDHC inserted it just throws me back into the Wii Channel Screen and the same thing occurs when it's just the USB Thumbdrive. I'm guessing they just aren't compatible?
