So this dosn't even work on a pal wii. After you've saved the game.

Common sense would be to actualy test the game works before release

There appears to be another dump by a group called M@NI@C. At least, I think it's a dump. They call themselves an uploader group, so I'm not sure if it's actually a different dump or the same thing.

Has anyone tried it?

EDIT: Nevermind. It's definitely just a repackaged version.

So there is no good dump out there at all yet?
Not yet, it seems; I keep checking every couple hours and never find anything safe for repackages by people trying to take credit for the dump (nevermind that it's a BAD dump). I really don't get why either, since in theory, anyone in possession of the game can easily dump it; it's not like you need special hardware or anything. Regardless, if there's no way to make it run on an NTSC console, I'm not sure why I keep looking... *sigh*

Still, even if it gets a proper dump anyone without a 50 Hz TV won't be able to play it. Unless of course one of the other releases like Australia or Finland add a 60 Hz option to the game (which I doubt).

Have there been any 50 Hz only games that could be properly hacked / loaded to display properly on 60 Hz TVs?

To my knowledge, not on the Wii, no.

Koei did this on purpose didn't they? Luckily it will be out later this year in the us, but it is still quite a whiles off. I was hoping to play it sooner so I wouldn't be so burnt out when Sengoku basara 3 comes out.

Same here with wanting to play it early. I already played the hell out of it in the Japanese release, but I want to be able to understand the stories because they were really awesome and seemed like the best in the series. If Koei plans on releasing SW3 in the US around the same time as BASARA 3 then I know I won't be getting around to replaying it for quite a long time, lol.

wit+wwt are able to find bad dumps. Therefor they calculate the hash values on all 5 levels again and compare them with the stored one.

Code:
# check one image
wit verify iso_image

# check one image as part of a wbfs
wit verify iso_image/ID6

# check whole wbfs partition with auto detect
wwt --auto verify
Because of decrypting all this operations takes much time.

Sorry, but I'm not too familiar with what this means. Are you checking the dump to see if it's a bad dump or if there's just something incompatible no matter what?

The tools check the disc itself. Each partition (DATA+UPDATE+CHANNEL) is encrypted. Each 1024 bytes have a SHA1 checksum and this checksum is also stored on the disc. There are 5 levels of checksum (See http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Wii_Disc#Partition_Data for details.)

The VERIFY command decrypt the data and calculate the checksums again and compare them with the stored checksums like the Wii does. Is there is a difference my tools print a message. For scrubbed discs only the needed sectors are checked.

How far into story mode before one would see a crash? Got this to load using the new "Proper" release on a NTSC wii. USB Loader GX , Video Mode: Force PAL50 VIDTV Patch: ON Patch Country Strings: ON . Game loads and I was able to start story mode and play as the ninja. Ran up to a group of soldiers/villagers killed em and them came here to report. I did notice exiting to the wii system menu my wii had to be restarted (maybe cause it was forced to 50 hertz nt sure why) but a system reboot everything came back fine. If anyone knows a fix for the wii freezing when exiting please share =D
