Hacking Neogamma error 1255?

Okay before you say anything, yes I have searched the forums and google. No answer.

So I burned my backup of tatsunoko vs. capcom on a dvd-r and tried to play it on my wii but it said unable to read disc. So I put Neogamma on the HBC and when I tried to load the game it gave me the error 1255.

Just wondering, what is this error? Did I just burn it wrong? More importantly, what does my wii need to have installed to play games?

If the Wii is new(christmas 09 or newer) it probably won't play DVD-Rs, especially if it's a black wii.

And if NeoGamma says IOS36 something at the bottom of the screen, you don't have a cIOS.

I got the wii christmas of 07

I'm just so confused on installing IOS or cIOS. I'm trying to follow the completesoftmodguide but I have no idea what's going on
