for some reason i felt that this game was dumbed down a bit graphic wise and it felt it had less stuff than the first but dont get me wrong i like it but i feel like its the same game which leads for it being a little bit easy but not to much. now remember this is just my opinion

For me it wasnt the graphical quality, just the amount of stuff on screen and what they did with the good graphics. This game is also too bright sometimes. I liked how it was dark in the sky most of the time in the first.zop2291 said:

this game is definitly harder than the first one, but its still not that hard
It's easily harder than the first one, but that's only because of the prankster comets. I'm at the end of world 4 and the main game has been easy, while some of the prankster comets have been a little tricky. Good fun though!

it is similar but galaxy 2 is tougher. without a doubt.
to a noob to the series, either game is tough. This game seems more fun too. I hated the hub design where you have to go to a certain area to access another area. the linear pattern like nsmbw is sooo much better.

Definitely harder.
Kinda like NSMB Wii. They talked about how harder it is compared to other games, at first you don't get how its even remotely hard and then you hit a level and you're like "F@#% £%$ @##". Thing is I've never really been angry, there has always been a smile when I start the level again because I just don't mind playing the occasional level over and over. They're just so well made.
You do learn to adapt, modern games (whatever platform) have made me a pussy I reckon. Had I played this 10 years ago I don't think I would have had any problem with it.
Really savouring this game, not rushing it just taking my time getting everything from each level. I really want to see all of it now but I know its going to be over one day so I'm taking my time.

one thing i love about this game is that you don't have to keep pointing the wii remote to choose your world or to select your star. the world map is way better than the observatory in MG1 running around like crazy just to play a stage. i guess nothing will ever top peach's castle in mario 64. i didnt mind running around to get to a course. still this game is more of a challenge and looks beautiful
Wicked game, just about through world 2, the one were you had to spin jump to switch the platforms over took me ages and the one with the hot pepper kept banging on the side and dropping off. Very frustrating!!!! wicked game though 10/10 for me.
