Hi I just got my Hori screen protectors from amazon.ca but the instructions are in japanese. Normally I wouldn't really care about the instructions but these screen protectors look kinda intimidating. There are two protectors of different sizes and there are two tabs on each protector. Does anyone have the instruction manual for installing them in ENGLISH. If so, would you please post them here? Thanks.

I've never used the Hori ones, but if they're anything like the ones I sell at my shop it should work like this:

1) Clean the screen, making sure to get rid of any dust or debris. They will cause bubbles if not taken care of.
2) If the tabs are numbered, peel off the one labeled "1."
3) Being careful not to touch the exposed side, align the screen protector and slowly roll it on.
4) Use a credit card or something similar to work out any bubbles.
5) Peel off the second tab, but make sure not to pull the whole screen protector back off.

It's actually very simple if you're careful and take your time. It's best to turn off any fans or close any windows, because dust is your worst enemy. If even a single speck gets under that screen, you're going to be stuck with a bubble that won't go away.

Thanks I just have one more question. There are two protectors, one is bigger than the other. Is the bigger one for the touch screen or the top screen?

I just got some from Amazon.ca and they are in english. I also made a thread asking for some advice that got no replies. Not trying to take over this one.

I got my protectors on, if a piece of dust gets stuck to the other side of the protector the instructions say you can use a piece of tape to touch the spot to remove the dust and try laying it down again. I had to do this twice...

My protectors are on almost perfectly except for a few spots that are not spotless

My girlfriends DSi XL wasn't so lucky, a few things got stuck under hers.. I'll pick up some new hori protectors down the road once these get worn a bit and try and do a better job next time

Cheers

Best of luck installing them, hope you do not get air bubbles.

Off-topic, but, is there a way to easily get rid of air bubbles?

Just start on one side and work your way to the other. I've never had any problems installing these....they're kinda stiff...not flimsy like vinyl.

Make sure to clean your screen before you start. I used a little Windex on a cloth.

You can peel it up with tape or use a new protector, but for me what worked was using a old credit card and cutting it down to size for the bottom screen & pushing forward with the card while creating resistance by pulling the protector back and moving forward. The end result no air bubbles.

I've applied 4 of these in my time and rarely do I ever get it perfect, after awhile I usually spot a super small speck of dust or something that made it underneath the filter creating a small air bubble. I've learned to live with it, at least until the protector gets worn and I apply new ones.

Not sure if there's a way to remove them and clean them or not.. I'd probably just muck it up even more lol

I peeled it with the extremely low quality tape for $0.1. Very useful. It took me like 15 minutes to applied these protectors......

Anyone tried applying the protectors outside? I would assume that there is less dust outside than inside (unless you live in the desert)

my house is wayyyyy too dusty..

Try doing it in the bathroom, after a shower or something....the steam will get rid of the dust.
