So, I dug up this 16.8GB Dell DJ a few minutes ago and realized I could use this for Wii USB Loader. Do I need to format this a specific way for the USB Loader or just plain ol Format it and just dump the games on here?

If this is in the wrong place, feel free to tell me and move this to the appropriate place.

Let me make this clear: Hard Drives are not something to buy "cheap". You need to look at a good drive and not just worry about prices. Make a limit for how much you can spend, and get the best that you can within that limit. I got my 1 TB WD drive for $140; it works great.

if you can get your computer to recognize it as USB MASS STORAGE then you can use it on your wii. make it into 2 partitions and make the first partition WBFS and the rest of the partition FAT.

follow the directions just like you would for formatting any hard drive to use with USB loader.

i found an old iAudio MP3 player and it was very easy to set up.

Not true, anyone that knows the truth will tell you that there are lots of HDDs that don't work with the Wii, for example I've yet to hear of any 2TB drives working with USB loaders or triiforce or homebrew. Also some models just don't work hence why there are compatability threads/wiki etc for HDDs.

Just because it works with a pc does NOT mean it will work with the wii...fact.

My advice about usb1 / usb2 is also true.
